Ah, I was wondering but figured I'd explain.
So far the lock in the basement idea has only been explored by the MC, Khloe, and Mary. However, the MC does complete the first step to enact that plan.
No idea if it will actually happen but it has been stated as the plan for how to deal with Linda. First step is to buy out her debt so she will owe the MC.

I'll have to play this one again from the start but this basement plan from v0.2 seems a little out there where this young business mogul MC is concerned..

I don't know, it was the only plan stated so far and the MC has taken the first step to make it happen. Honestly, the MC's vitriol and anger towards Linda is rather disturbing considering he is now coming back and, if the player chooses, can make a harem with all of the girls he meets in town. He gets the house, the company, the car, and (if he wants) the family. Linda gets nothing yet he is now trying to enslave her so she can understand what it is like "to be humiliated like he was", except there was no humiliation when he left. He disappeared according to everyone he talks to, they had no idea why he left so what humiliation?

But the first step is logical, buying the debt, but then maybe you can choose to punish her in a different way, for example someone as cocky as her will surely think cleaning the company toilets would be very degrading.
And if i remember right hhe left without being able to talk to anyone because he was forced to do so by her, and that is humillating, having to leave your whole life just because of her decision
She humillated the MC, and the MC getting revenge isnt weird, but maybe you can choose to do it in a less extreming way, which buying the debt is a start

Great analysis. I'm probably down either way tbh but I didn't think it was literal. Interesting. Well you do have to give it credit for being different then. Not your normal "Walk on Water" fragile male ego porn game I guess. So that's good at least!

I guess I don't find that humiliating or at least not to the point where imprisoning someone in a basement and feeding them bread and water is a valid retaliation. We shall see whether that is what happens.
I hope it wasn't literal. I am not interested in the rest of the game enough to warrant continuing if that actually happens. The renders are nice but there isn't much to it beyond the mystery of why the MC keeps getting boxes with things in them.

Not really, because he was still alive and free. He was 18? He could start over (which he did). Anyone who would know him would be in that town. He could go anywhere and be anyone.
If someone puts you in a cage or room and you never see the sun, never feel the wind, never smell the rain, and only eat water and bread until you agree to be a slave to your captor that is truly a terrible fate.
Obviously that's my opinion. We all have different views on life.

Being locked in a basement for a few days (they even say a few days, it might not even rain in that time) is by far less humillating than being exiled by several years, not being able to see any of your loved ones, of course its an opinion.
Have not played the update yet but just from this last page I would say what Linda did was humiliating to the person that the MC was at the time, a Rich kid that everyone knew would take over the fathers company one day, had nothing to worry about and then this gold digger comes in and blackmails him into leaving the house with nothing or going to jail for his friends death which he had nothing to do with and would have killed any future he would have otherwise just so she could worm her way into getting everything that should be the MCs by right. That is the financial equivalent of being publicly cucked while wearing a gimp suit in public IMO. I would go the route of My New Family and pull a Tanja on Linda and make her a broken pet/fuck toy as payback. Imprisonment and starvation is not a power move it is just sick, breaking her and making her a pet/toy is a Boss level power move.

I find both options just as bad. Linda having her humanity stripped away for a couple of days, then becoming MCs pet / plaything / slave, whatever it means, to me is just as bad as being shown that you are powerless and that everything you have can and is taken from you with a smile before you go to sleep, including the ten years he had to endure it.
So, eye for an eye. I find a decently executed more extreme revenge story rather refreshing.
Now regarding the update itself:
I think this update mainly laid the groundwork for meaningful progression being enabled for a lot of core characters in the next 1-2 updates. In terms of porn game content, there wasn't much (for me). Putting the sexy scenes at the very beginning of the update where no tension has been built up and I'm kinda wondering what exactly happened in the previous update, storywise, just doesn't do much for me.
The renders are banging though and I'm enjoying the genre. The MC is caring towards those he likes, and a tyrant towards those that he deems to be a danger / nuisance. I like Mary/Khloe as loyal friends/girlfriends but it takes some getting to know their backstory to really find them attractive.
Mr. Dev, please go ahead and write the story as you want it. Every time a story pops up with more extreme content, people are quick to express their disappointments and say their goodbyes just to develop that bit of pressure to nudge the makers of these games in the direction they think the game should go. Just ignore it, please.
