Dear Patrons,
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you! ✨ I hope this season brings you joy, warmth, and time to relax with those you love. As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve been through together and share some updates on what’s ahead.
This year has been a tough one for me personally. Losing my grandma was one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. It wasn’t just the pain of losing her but also the wave of responsibilities and emotions that came with it. I’ve been dealing with a lot of guilt and trying to make peace with things, which took a toll on me. Honestly, I lost almost three months just trying to find my footing again.
But through all of that, one thing that kept me going was this project—and all of you. Knowing that you’re here, supporting me, has been a light in some very dark moments. I want to thank you for your patience and understanding.
Now, I’m happy to say that things are moving forward again. The work on the 0.75 update is almost done. I’m currently working on the last two scenes—both of them are pretty long—but I should have them ready within the next two weeks. Alongside that, I’ve already started the postproduction process: fixing the code, editing the images in Photoshop, and making everything as polished as possible. Since I’m implementing paths for each girl, I’ll probably need to render a few more images to make sure everything works perfectly.
After that, the final step will be creating animations. My goal is to release the 0.75 patch by the end of January, and I’m excited for you all to see the work that’s gone into it.
Looking beyond this update, I’ve been thinking a lot about the future of Reunion. The story is slowly approaching its conclusion. The draft for version 0.80 is ready, and I’ve finally figured out how I want to end this chapter. Versions 0.9 and 1.0 are already planned in my head, just waiting to be written down when I have the time.
And then there’s the big question—what’s next? Should I continue working on Reunion with additional content, or should I wrap it up (at least for now) and dive into something new? I’ve got two fresh stories in my head, both completely different from Reunion, and I honestly think they might be even better.
At the same time, I’d love to eventually rebuild Reunion and make it the game I’ve always dreamed of. When I started this project, I had no experience and didn’t know how to bring my vision to life. Now that I’ve learned so much, I want to give it the glow-up it deserves. That remake will be a long-term project, something I’ll work on when I have extra time, but it’s definitely on my to-do list.
In the meantime, I’m working on a new "engine" for future projects and for Reunion’s potential remake. It’s exciting to think about where this journey might take me next, and I can’t wait to share it all with you.
Thank you so much for sticking with me through all the ups and downs this year. Your support, encouragement, and patience mean more to me than I can ever say. Here’s to an amazing 2025 filled with new updates, new stories, and new adventures!
Wishing you all the best,
Karabinek
