So, I've enjoyed the game so far. Lani is great, Marla cool too. Wish there was more scenes of course.

My major issue is I'm confused. I have no sense of what I'm supposed to be doing, the closest thing to a Walkthrough for guidance is that spreadsheet someone posted. Which I have to say, helped quite a bit in figuring some stuff out. But it's confusing too. For instance; Character Scene tips section it seems the tips are out of order (at least for my playthrough) and I can't seem to get many of them triggered. But the recipes, Titles and such are quite helpful.

Has anyone been working on an actual walkthrough?
A step by step walkthrough isn't really possible with the nature of the game, what you have is pretty much the best you are going to get. Many of the aspects of the game are random. combat encounters, drops, god experience from praying, dungeon discovery, trap encounters and chest results to name SOME of them. It is designed to be a rouge-like; try, fail and repeat. What some people can get done in 30 days with good luck can take others 50 with bad luck. The only way to guarantee specific results is HEAVY rollback/save scumming. The character scene tips section is also pretty much useless due to the recent update changing how scenes trigger. Not to mention the one notorious scene that requires you to have thousands of endurance.

Ok, the guide said it was close to up-to-date, like on version earlier. It makes more sense if it's very out of date.
And yeah, a step by step would be impossible, I agree. But a general, this is the goal kind of explanation would be nice. Like why would someone suicide on the first day? That's apparently a trigger for a scene, I'd have never thought to do that.
I still don't know what the goal of the game is... which I've rarely been able to say about a game I've put 20+ hours into.

I enjoy it, I just don't understand it and have no idea what I'm doing or why I'm doing it.

Thanks for the reply by the way.

I will be updating the guide for the character scenes section. I'll be changing it to a "How to unlock scenes" that show up in the hint section in-game. Especially the very tricky one. Most of the hints in-game are clear enough for people to easily understand how to unlock that scene. Others are very vague.

I will say that the character scene section does work for the first few playthroughs. It's just very easy to skip or go completely different directions without even trying or meaning to. As this game gets more stuff added to it, the number of routes/paths to find scenes will continue to increase and make it really hard to make a guide for them, so that's why I'll be switching to the "How to unlock specific scenes" guide.

I'm also thinking of adding specific guides on getting specific titles, like how to get to 250 combined party levels, for example.

Thanks for the reply and clarification. I appreciate it.
It's just, you're right, after the first few lives managing to hit all the reqs gets a little challenging. and I STILL haven't managed to start a Marla Solo route... A Lani Solo seems easy, but I keep getting the throuple or whatever Lani agreed to call it.

Easiest way to get into Marla solo route is to ignore Lani. Don't have her join your party. Focus on Marla and eventually you will be on her route. After that you can have Lani join your party and explore the special dungeon (if you have the mind protection equipment for the girls) to see a replayable scene with Marla. You can also see a different scene if you explore the special dungeon without Lani in your party (again with the mind protection and on Marla solo route)

If you have any questions about getting specific scenes, just ask and I'll probably be able to help.

Cool, thanks. Now I have a different question that I only now realized I had...
I'm supposed to get a Replay Gallery after Soul Box 3 right? How do I access that? I cannot for the life of me figure this out. Nothing in the menu, nothing in the game that I can find... I wanna see Lani...

*EDIT: NM, I found it on the Main Menu... I would have expected it to be available in game too.

I agree that it should be available in game as well. Like once a scene is unlocked in the hint page, the name should be a link that starts a replay of the scene.

So, I haven't been able to find any answers to this... Is there any story left after the whole scene with the Prince, Horace and Juna? Where they talk about giving the invitation to the MC? Or is the next steps buried behind another death/rewind cycle?

That's all there is in this version. As far as I know, the developer has been working on Lani and Marla content. Hopefully, more of the main story will be added soon.

Alright boys, someone mind telling me how the hell I'm supposed to level up the light skill? I've been playing for a few days now and I haven't even been introduced to the skill yet. What do I need to trigger it?

Simplest way: Light skill books (can be bought from vendors as well as earned as rewards by levelling up the temple and adventurer hall), which can be used in your room by clicking on the button that looks like a stack of books.

Other ways:
Once you get a skill point in magic, spend the evening with your mom in the library and ask her to teach you about magic, which will give you light skill exp.
Finish dungeons and pick the light skill exp reward.

Welp, nevermind. Literally 3 minutes after posting this I seemed to have triggered it by studying with the mom lol.

I finally got around to it by studying with mom. Thanks though I appreciate your response.

Also, what do you find is the best way to earn coin? The prices of everything is pretty expensive compared to the wages of going on patrol, killing wolves, etc..

The more you spend, the better your title related to spending will be with every death (it reduces prices); furthermore, Kermit's skill (forgot what it's called), in addition to letting you keep more and more items across death, lets you sell all the remaining items at death and keep and certain percentage of the proceeds, which increases rapidly.

So: you only have to die once, maybe twice, and already you'll start a new life with plenty of money

Early on you simply don't buy anything, later on (when you start accumulating random crap from fights/looting zones and leveling up your soul box in the process) you'll gather money pretty quickly due to auto sell on death (provided you didn't sell it manually during that specific run) and your soul box carrying over 10%/level (max level right now is 9, I think) of your cash.

You can also get light books while exploring the forest.

Currently? [Spoiler Alert!]
After you unlock the adventurer guild (2nd loop IIRC), you'll want to try spending at least 1k gold for the merchant title -- eg. buying and reselling potions if you have to
& near death, buy as much potions as possible -- as it's the best way to retain money till higher level Soul Box
w/ the merchant title, you can basically just repeatedly buy&sell the potions till you max said title & earn big the next loop.
Edit: Or just wait till you gain the Merchant title, then buy&sell the greater potion--even the 1st one @ 1% gives you a profit of 3g.
