The last time a bunch of animators got a big team behind them and endless resources all they did was make a shitty game with a bunch of short, boring animation loops and hired some manga writers to create a bunch of one-shots to advertise said shitty game. *cough*FOW*cough*.

I agree. One only needs to look around at the highest paid porn content creators to see this usually tends to be the case. Even if they're productive at first they quickly become lazy once they're given a huge sack of money.
Creators obviously deserve to get paid, but once they make it big they stop giving a shit.

also the doujins were part of the campaign, so they were earned.

Grouping animators isn’t such an impossible task, it just requires good leadership. Specially given how spread across the globe smut makers are. And many don’t take as it seriously. It’s a side hustle for most and not their primary source of income.
