He did published a compressed version, I just didn't upload it.
2.5G is not even enough there's still tons of artifacts.
I can think of 2 possibilities:
1. the encoder of the animating or video editing software is really very very bad.
2. he exported lower bitrate video from animating software, and then exported high bitrate video when he edited the video with video editing software.
The compressed version he make is a re-encode of this thing, which can further degrade video quality. But despite the massive file size difference (and even with a low quality high speed x264 preset), the quality actually didn't degraded that much, which in turn shows how bad the original encode is.

Yeah, the thing is file Rinhee shared wildy inconsistent. Sometimes it's under 1GB, sometimes it's also over 2GB.

it alw depends how long the work is, longer animations = more frames = larger files, also the more detailed the larger as well
I got a question, does rinhee only publish a 30 fps version? or why does my source alw have a 60 fps one, guess it is AI interpolated?

Check the bitrate.
bitrate x time = file size.
I haven't seen any original 60 fps from rinhee so far.

oh yeah totally forgot that, the higher the bitrate the bigger the size file as well, and all things together creates these enormous space monsters where I alw have to decrease it myself

I used to think the same way, but like the other poster said pirates wouldn't buy it anyway. There is a portion of people that would buy it if there was literally no other way to get the content. But we're talking about unknown artists here who barely have 10 subscribers.
There is a publicity effect when it comes to piracy, whereby your content and name is more known and exposed to more people. Which DOES pick up sub counts along the way. If your content is the type that is leaked an hour after posting then your sub count is likely really large anyway and you're making good money on the content already.
I think we crunched the numbers in this thread before and Rinhee is making a really good wage for a Japanese person. The 'can live in an expensive apartment in Tokyo' kind of wage. At least I think it was Rinhee.
Which isn't to say he shouldn't make more, but we aren't talking struggling and starving artist here. This is like when multi millionaires Metallica complained about piracy when their albums still moved millions of units. I personally just don't buy music, but I do have an extensive Iron Maiden collection. My daughter loves Iron Maiden. That's generational exposure for a band, and it's all because I was able to get it for free. Piracy also preserves old video games. So there's positives to it all.
TYSM for the large uncompressed file with subs. I usually compress his stuff using AV1 to massively save on space. And I like doing it with MKV to toggle subs.
So it's nice to get it all in one go. For anyone wanting a smaller file I'll start compresing it and post it when done.

completely missed my point, but what Thanhao said is right. I'm saying to the people who expect it to be leaked on here 30 minutes after it was released and start begging for it to either buy it themselves or just cool it and wait a bit. I've found several artists thanks to here & rule34 that I wouldn't have known otherwise. Have some common sense about it, if it's not posted just check back later
