Jesus, every NTR thread these days has a couple dudes who supposedly likes NTR but slams the game for doing a regular NTR story. That cliche shit where MC loses and the girl is corrupted IS the fetish in a nutshell. If you don't like this and find it boring, you don't like NTR, especially the Japanese ones. You like stories with various forms of drama and adversity, but with a lot of player agency and a wide variety of routes. Go find one of those games instead of asking people catering to a certain market to make shit you want.
Yes, most NTR is incredibly formulaic, often the only difference being the levels of humiliation, how wimpy the MC is, and the route to it, blackmail, rape, boredom, hubris etc., of course, from the AP's PoV it's actually netori, and who says you have to identify with MC cuck ... though unfortunately in most games the AP is often so despicably subhuman that it's impossible to relate to them anymore than you could relate to a baboon.
Outside of 'games' in the medium of anime and manga etc., it's interesting how both netori and netorare can happily coexist within the same story ... so it really isn't outside the realms of expectation that games could also reflect this demand.
The problem, though, is that people that don't like NTR, even in it's broadest interpretation, absolutely hate it. So there simply aren't many, especially well made games, that allow for 'cheating' + competition and the credible option of losing through poor game choices, and ironically, it turns out that most people simply wont countenance sex scenes in a porn game where the MC is not involved and many wont even accept any allusion to it happening off screen.
So no, I doubt they'll be able to go off and find many games that will cater to their NTR needs, that will also allow for the possibility of the MC asserting their 'masculinity' at the end. However, from the sheer number of 'stories', 'redits' and 'tiktoks' of cheating wives getting their comeuppance I wouldn't be surprised if a new genre of game/VN does arrive, not that I'd hold my breath waiting for it.
