I haven't tried either of STWAdev's games. They're on my list, just haven't gotten around to them. If you thing the mood is similar to Ripples, I might move them higher on the list then.
I can't say that STWAdev's games are similar to Ripples in mood. They're quite a bit heavier. They both deal with trauma and getting past it, in that sense they're more like LoF, except less funny (subjectively).
Still, I rank them high on my list of AVN that are story before porn.
As for Darci, at the end of season 5, I started to like her more again as well. I suspect she was the shit-ninja, somehow. It's probably too obvious an observation to make to be true, though. I'm not sure if I missed certain scenes, but I don't remember encountering the outgoing sister a lot. A few times in school, once while walking home, and once at their house. Of course the horndog in me wants a ginger sandwich.
I remember really liking Once in a Lifetime, but I've been playing so many AVN that they're all getting a bit mixed in my brain. Some of them really stand out, like BaDIK, LoF, Eternum (due to its unique setting), Projekt: Passion, to name a few. I should play through it again and see if I'm noticing the same thing. Though, one thing that's true of Caribdis' games, is that they're packed with detail, and Ripples is as well. (Loved the scene in the background at the '50s-style restaurant, with the guy peeking under the girl's dress.)
Anyhow, if you're inclined, you could post your comment as a review too. More positive reviews surely would be good for Jestur's motivation, and letting other readers know about the quality of the game might help convince others try (and hopefully support the game). Unless you're one of those reviewers that are like "I fucking love this game, but I liked Baldur's Gate 3 more, so 3 stars." or "This is one of my favorite WEGs all-time! 4 stars. It would be 5, but I wanted to bang the Landlady and Roommate already! Quit Milking!" Those kind of reviews aren't very helpful, IMO.
Thanks for the suggestion! I've actually been considering it, but I tend to write longer and more in-depth reviews (I'm still mulling it over, I'm not sure how to start a treatise of how BG3 is actually a much better AVN.)
Kidding aside, one of the reasons I joined this site was for having a bit of a log of games and what I thought of them. Still figuring out how everything works though, but I'll probably review most games I play.
