Yea, to piggy-back on what Phase_01 said, HS2 was released at the end of May in 2020, and the first chapter of Ripples was released here on F95 in mid-july. I like his work, but pretty sure there's no way he could have released it that fast, even (or maybe especially) if he'd started in HS1 and converted it to HS2.

And it's unlikely he switched either. The upgrade done after Chapter 4 improved the overall look of the early chapters, but in no way changed the look of any of the characters, and from what I've seen the character models don't actually translate that well between the two games.
I never would have though that hs1 could have been made to look so good, I will check it out.
Thanks

My Prime Minister? Not perhaps, he really is. He says taxes are lower, and after some study people saw that in the longer term went up. He also keeps blaming the other parties for the terrible finances, when his party was in power for 18 of the last 25 years.

So yes, he's really dyslexic.
It sounds like every politician ever is dyslexic by that definition :ROFLMAO:.

Any idea on what engine this was made?

My best guess is hs2 but if so I don't have a clue how he got the models looking so good as all of my attempts have been dissapointing
The whole visual novel was made with HS1. My first update was close to being done when HS2 was released. Also, when HS2 was first released, there were hardly any mods so I decided to stick with HS1.

Thanks for the confirmation, I will look into hs1 as I kept having alignment problems with the models in hs2 and also overall graphics looked too much hs2.

Thanks again

In response to the most recent update question:

Now excuse me while I go and post this in a couple of other threads that need this.
What boggles my mind is how little warning they give. There's only about 30 seconds to react after they call it.
You're driving down the road. "Um Dad?" "Yea sweetie/champ?" "I- I don't feel good." "Oh! Ok kiddo, can you hold it for a sec while I pull over?" "Yea, I think s-*horrrrrrk*" "Ah fuck..."

Whoaw, simply whoaw, I feel stupid I never played this before, I been keeping an eye for this game for a long while, but the last few days I finaly managed to play it and just whoaw. Very well made, intriging, cute girls, I'm so in love with many of them, but the most I like is his childhood friend and Skylar.

Please never stop developing this, I sure would love to see this VN build all the way to the end plot. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to more updates.

After playing STWA's games, I was looking for something more lighthearted. Ripples has been on the back burner for a while now, because big boobs just aren't my thing. That said, I should've played this game sooner. I had a great time.

Honey Select games are usually hit or miss, there are a few gems (e.g. Caribdis), and I'm counting Ripples amongst those now. The renders, animations and women all look stunning. And I'm a fan of hair and jiggle physics.
The story is (still) light-hearted, and there's plenty of erotic content. At the beginning of the game I adored Darci, but towards episode 5, I started to get tired of her shtick. In that regard, I'm happy she's becoming more of a partner, so we'll get to see her in action. Alissa is probably my favorite character right now, with Skylar in a close second. Alissa embodies the "Still water runs deep"-trope, which I'm a sucker for.

I haven't tried either of STWAdev's games. They're on my list, just haven't gotten around to them. If you think the mood is similar to Ripples, I might move them higher on the list then. :) Mentioning Caribdis, I've always felt the mood and some things I can't quite put my finger on (other than the graphics source) in Ripples is reminiscent of OIALT. Obviously Tiffany and Carla are pretty similar, but there's several other things too.
My opinion's a bit different on Darci. Her first couple scenes were fun, then I got tired of her, but now she's growing on me again. Alyssa's cute. Obviously, she's got weeb/gamer girl appeal, but I like the outgoing sister more.

Anyhow, if you're inclined, you could post your comment as a review too. More positive reviews surely would be good for Jestur's motivation, and letting other readers know about the quality of the game might help convince others try (and hopefully support the game). Unless you're one of those reviewers that are like "I fucking love this game, but I liked Baldur's Gate 3 more, so 3 stars." or "This is one of my favorite WEGs all-time! 4 stars. It would be 5, but I wanted to bang the Landlady and Roommate already! Quit Milking!" Those kind of reviews aren't very helpful, IMO.

I can't say that STWAdev's games are similar to Ripples in mood. They're quite a bit heavier. They both deal with trauma and getting past it, in that sense they're more like LoF, except less funny (subjectively).
Still, I rank them high on my list of AVN that are story before porn.

As for Darci, at the end of season 5, I started to like her more again as well. I suspect she was the shit-ninja, somehow. It's probably too obvious an observation to make to be true, though. I'm not sure if I missed certain scenes, but I don't remember encountering the outgoing sister a lot. A few times in school, once while walking home, and once at their house. Of course the horndog in me wants a ginger sandwich.

I remember really liking Once in a Lifetime, but I've been playing so many AVN that they're all getting a bit mixed in my brain. Some of them really stand out, like BaDIK, LoF, Eternum (due to its unique setting), Projekt: Passion, to name a few. I should play through it again and see if I'm noticing the same thing. Though, one thing that's true of Caribdis' games, is that they're packed with detail, and Ripples is as well. (Loved the scene in the background at the '50s-style restaurant, with the guy peeking under the girl's dress.)

Thanks for the suggestion! I've actually been considering it, but I tend to write longer and more in-depth reviews (I'm still mulling it over, I'm not sure how to start a treatise of how BG3 is actually a much better AVN.)
Kidding aside, one of the reasons I joined this site was for having a bit of a log of games and what I thought of them. Still figuring out how everything works though, but I'll probably review most games I play. :D
