Development Progress Update #73

zzzzRipplesEp8ProgressJun92025a.png

Hey Subscribers!
I hope you are all doing well. It's finally been feeling like summer here where I live. It's been mostly sunny in the 70s-80s (in Fahrenheit). I usually post a dev progress post every three weeks, but I'm three days late this time. Before I made this post, I wanted to finish the last scene and be able to say that I have FINALLY made it to the end of the update. I've been working my butt off the last couple of weeks.

That's right. I finally made it to the end of the update, and all that needs to be done is testing and proofreading—well, that and some other small finishing touches. I need to edit the last batch of animations and add the sound effects. Then, I will go back to the beginning of episode 8, play through it, and do some individual testing before I create a build and hand it off to my small team of testers/proofreaders. I think there are also one or two animations I need to fix and update the in-game phone details for episode 8. So, just little things like that. So after a few days of testing it myself, I'll send it out to the testers.
It's a great episode. I'm happy with how it turned out, and I think you'll all enjoy it too. This will most likely be the last post before I post the release dates and the official changelog. I can give you a couple of rough numbers, though. There are about 2200 renders and around 180 animations.
Stay tuned,
Jestur

Cheers!! :coffee:

Best part is, new update should be out very soon. Nothing worse than getting into a VN and having to wait months for an update
Agreed, I'm a sucker for time travel, alternate timelines, and multi-verse stuff, so it grabbed me pretty good once those elements came into play. No to mention Darci grabbed me by the balls and didn't let go XD she's hilarious!

Is that an official statement or just speculation? If the latter then no idea why you would say that, playing this AVN for like 4 or 5 updates and never had any issue with saves and I use the multimod besides URM. But besides that, it is always a good measure to save often in games in development, because of code changes, that is when usually saves may not find a point to rollback.
lmao your GIF of Riley spinning is great! That part made me spit out my beer when it happend XD

one thing for sure. Update comes out with the note "saves wont work"
Unless they're changing the RenPy version or doing a Steam rewrite, there shouldn't be a problem. While I understand the sentiment based on a lot of other VNs I've been playing, you're being a bit of a muppet with this.

Mods, on the other hand.... Mods break saves all the time and people never seem to learn.
Yeah this is because mods make variable changes and that embeds into the save data, its fine if you have decent modders that update quick orrrr provide removal patches. (I can think of good ol' Sancho that provided a way to unfuck your saves) but yeah, as always mods are use at your own risk, hence the asterisk on main page
