Been wondering about that too, thought about time travel (and it may be the case), but then, there's an emphasis on Skylar's 'help' message before she went missing, her explanations are dubious at best, and she's different, the way she talks is as if her time with the MC is limited, how she suddenly doesn't care about what her mother says (she could be tired of it, though). Add Riley talking about how 'they' are mightily interested in the MC and wants to interact with everything that surrounds him... Skylar may simply be the first of the bunch to be a victim of whoever works behind.

I personally feel like the whole thing with her mom is/was mostly for cliffhangers.....we learned from her this update that the reason she ghosted us was because the mom has some "psychic" powers (similar to what Luna said in 1999 to MC) which is a pretty compelling reason to us readers but makes 0 sense for Skylar.
So she spent her entire life with her mom's weirdness (her mom was not home once a month for her entire life basically due to "the moon") and was ok with her moms weridness killing a new realationship she had....but then after a day or two (or however much time travel she did) decides to flip flop and say "yeah my mom's weirdness is irrelevant here"?
The only thing I can up with is Skylar was about to fully ghost us because her psychic mommy told her too (otherwise her sending fully formed texts telling us she wasn't going to talk to us makes no sense) but then "the mystery" happened to her (time travel/kidnapped/she read the script for future updates) and now she's suddenly like "nah MC you are super important to me I wasn't going to ghost you because my psychic mom said that hehe......"

If we are as stupid as the mc and believe Skylar, then she just went off to have a girls night and needs the mc to take care of her future kid. Skylar is dead to me. she was never a primary choice for me to begin with and now with these tattoos, I'm gone.
Meanwhile she was my favorite before ghosting, and I think tattoos look fucking amazing.
But I really wish we had the option to break up with her this update.
There are a ton of great girls in this one, and breaking up with her was on my to-do list since ghosting, but options never arrived
Not that replaying whole game is big punishment, but it's still sad that was the only way to break up with her.

Also while sounding hyper cynical i can almost promise you gave nothing to worry about seeing as this is an AVN Skylar; won't be revealed to have been a villian because that could deal a large blow in terms of financials, and overall "feeling" of the game, oh and would just make Skylar a reverse but objectively less interesting Riley (girl you know is lying to you but you need your dick wet) without any of the funny stories Riley has
Edit: Obviously I don't know Jestur Story I'm just going off of the adult game "meta". My favorite LI in any game ever is pretty unquestionably a villian so it's not just me hating on Skylar

Another thing that might support she might have went to the past while it isnt a strong case but something worth considering. The menu of the the place her mom worked at. While her mom might of told her where she worked in the past. The way she looked at it to me felt like there was more to it than just knowing the name of a place her mom worked at. It was almost like she knew the MC been to the past as well after seeing the menu.

I only have two complaints. 1) I have to wait now for the next version. 2) Jessica and Skylar being exclusive routes. The writing in this game is really good and I'm loving the story. It feels really weird though that Jess and Skylar are exclusive routes considering how many other girls are all involved and doing things.

I think it makes sense from a character pov. Not like every girl in this game wants to share and be part of a harem. Not only that but considering Skylar is Jessica's best friend and Jess is the jealous type it makes even more sense they would be separate. Because why would someone that is jealous share even if it's their best friend.
Sure you could make the argument he could peruse both of them in secret so the routes don't have to be exclusive. But when you consider Skylar it makes zero sense to do that or for her to go along with it but it also would be out of character for Skylar to do so. As she doesn't want to hurt her best friends feeling and was hesitant to even have a romantic relationship with the MC because of that. She cares alot for Jess you can see that even before you start her path. I don't recall if Skylar told Jess right away but they did have a conversation that if were to go any further beyond friends they need to tell Jess about it. As well as the MC felt the same way. I get the feeling this game is going to make you end relationships down the line once you get into some serious relationships as I think the MC being a cheater out of character for him.
A bit disapointed by the new episode in which i hoped for the story to progress with all the mysteries floating around already, but it ended more being about the MC relation progressing with a couple of LI and mostly stagnating/nothing progressing with the other, looks like the actual story progression will be for the next episode as hinted by the Darci stuff at the end that should be much more interesting.
But the Riley scene was so ridiculous to me i was wondering if that was the same game i had been playing so far, especially as you have no choice in going along in case you decide to trust her with the informations.
I wonder why the mysterious group that is spying on the MC and his surrounding (that the school principal was a part of before being destroyed by Riley and her baseball bat ) had to do something with Skylar resulting in the "help" message that the MC oddly didn't cared about for a week , probably they noticed the MC had contact with her (and her mother), but in that case there are so many other characters that are close to the MC ( and out of Krystal didn't seem to have any trouble with that organisation), why Skylar (and not the mother that seem to have some kind of psychic ability) ?

Jessica and Skylar being, for now, exclusive, makes sense to me. Jessica needs to feel like she's more important to the MC than Skylar if she is going to allow herself to start a relationship with him. If he has a girlfriend, especially if that girlfriend is her best friend, she's going to back off. So she needed him to choose.
I'm confident that over time, when she is feeling more secure in her relationship with the MC, she'll be more than happy to include Skylar.
I'm not sure the other way around would have worked. That's why I chose Jessica. I could be wrong, and either choice gets you there. Though it was hinted that would not be the case, I may have misunderstood.
Easy enough to go back and get the full Skylar content if so. If you know how to modify in game vars as I do (not to be done without sufficient caution, because you could break things) you can even see both now without a mod (I try not to play with mods, unless they're like the unofficial incest mod, which only changes relationships in a logical way and nothing else).
