Whenever I read this time travel and timeline discussions and theories all I can think about is the Back to the future theories in TBBT tv show and Sheldon famous quotes about it:

" Is “placed” the right tense for something that would have happened in the future of a past that was affected by something from the future? "

and the follow up

I've been looking around online, but I can't find anyone else talking about this (not that it hasn't happened, just that I can't find it): what's up with the Daphne "easter egg" related to the MC's name options?

And as long as I'm here, ran into a possible bug (sorry if this isn't the place to post it): I did a playthrough where I chose to pursue Skylar, and then I wanted to see the Jessica scenes so I started a new file. I avoided Skylar at every possible point, and maximized my Jessica points. But the game didn't trigger

This walkthrough only says that the scene WON'T trigger if you risked your relationship with Jessica by seeing Skylar. But I had such a low relationship with Skylar, I never even got the dialogue option that lets you choose between the two. So do you actually have to pursue a partial relationship with Skylar, and then put it on hold, to see the Jessica scenes, or is this a bug?

From what I gathered....
Trumbo is/was a tester or something like that and Daphne was their favorite. So just a bit of teasing in the development department. I was wondering what happens with the photoshoot, but too lazy to do a full run to see.

The animation: anim_e1a93.webm If you look closely at the tombstone at the bottom, it looks like it say "BLOW ME TRUMBO" could be "bite me", there are flowers in the way.

There is no suggestion in the game that the destination date can be changed in any manner. The wormhole appears to be fixed at 20 years (or so) with no way to modify it.

It depends on the choice you made in chapter 3 between them whether you get the Jessica scenes in chapter 6.

I agree. Miss gilmour could definitely be Jenny. Same face (eye's color., glasses...), she has a degree in science as teacher and she admited to MC that she was a late bloomer before becoming sex addict in college (like Jenny).

Yes:

After the Val and Tiff workout in EP3 is the scene to set it up. You have to be on Sky's route to get the choice. Basically, the choice is about you risking Jessica's friendship to continue to pursue Skylar.

There are 2 variables set.
skylarRisk = True (continue Skylar's route)
jessicaRisk = True (see Jessica's route)

I want to add that neither choice locks out their path permanently, just slows down one or the other. I prefer to go with Skylar, her date scene is awesome.

To avoid changing the timeline, you know the usual stuff in time travel stories.

In the tv show that inspired this game, the timeline get messed up quite a lot and at a certain point, i don't remember how, but via a static temporal breach, some characters go as back as the 19th century.

Based on is a big statement. It's lously inspired. Like, for instance, the Magnificent Seven is inspired by the Seven Samurai.
The TV show is a mostly obscure but rather good german TV show called Dark. It's one of the series i've enjoyed the most in the recent past.

As i said, inspired. There are several points taken from the TV serie starting by the time rift out of an incident at a nuclear plant, to the accidental time travel that mess with someone's early family (ok, this one is also Back to Future), the mysterious scarfaced guy from the future that moves the strings from behind, the elderly weird lady that seems to know a lot and who says nothing and so on.
Then of course it's also a mostly light hearted porn game about banging girls in 2 different time periods.
And, by the way, i don't know if it's openly stated but it sure widely agreed that this game took inspiration from Dark.

It's openly stated.

I actually had the idea for this before I watched Dark. I wanted to created something like this every since my Japanese VN days playing Steins Gate and Muv-Luv. I didn't even know English VNs were a thing back then, but yes, I absolutely love Dark and I think it's the best show or movie about time travel ever. So some ideas did come from that show, but I will never be able to come close to writing something as crazy as that. Thanks for playing the game!

I absolutely love Dark!
Best time travel fiction ever IMO. But Ripples is different, but Dark did inspire some ideas for Ripples, as well as other time travel shows/movies/games.

I was inspired by all the great sci-fi and time travel media, and yes, Dark was one of them. You will catch references to them as the story goes on. (If you know them). I'm glad you enjoyed the game so far. Thanks for playing!
