I assume you are mosty referring to the frequent questions about when the patch for 0.7 is out and the answers about the multimod as an alternative?
I too have gotten tired of those. I think discussion about the actual changes it makes and whether or not it is worth it are more rare, so i leapt at the opportunity to share my experiences with it. But yeah, discussing other aspects of Ripples would probably make for a better thread overall.

I mean, kind of both, I guess? It's certainly valuable for those interested in the incest patch to hear how other people have found the game with it active but I just... it's a LOT. Absolutely too much asking about whether the patch is updated or not -- that's what I meant by "just read back a page or two." But also I just find myself extremely uninterested in whether the game is "intended" to be an incest story or not. Personally, I tend to fall into the camp of those who think the incest is canon, because of some of the ways characters react and the way the dialog is written.

I guess at the end of the day I just don't find it a particularly interesting discussion? Especially because it seems to happen so often. My opinion is that everyone is entitled to their own headcanon and it doesn't really matter much to me whether or not any given interpretation is "correct." If one wishes to mentally substitute "stepsister" or even "sister" instead of "roommate," then absolutely go for it! I just don't see why so much of this thread has to be devoted to it. Personally, I I'm much more interested in the time travel and story aspects of the game, and in posts where people who have more of an attention span and greater attention to detail than I do point out things that I would otherwise have missed.

....That was a lot of words; I'm sorry. I blame the bottle and a half of wine i've had this evening for turning my self-censor off a little bit.

One of the 1999 girls? Jenny. And I think April as runner-up. Jenny spent most of the last update tugging hard at the heart strings, and it worked on me. April's been a little obnoxious, but it comes from a good heart, and she knows a lot more than she's saying.

All of them are great, really, but for one, that's the one--at least for now.

On the "MC is everyone's father" theory--possible, but I don't know that I'm convinced. In my opinion of order of likelihood, from most likely to least, based on what I've seen (or remember seeing) through 0.7.0:

• Skylar
  • She's the right age--if MC knocked up Luna in 1999, Skylar would be 19 in 2019, and she is
  • MC and Luna haven't had sex yet, but (1) this is porn, after all, so presumably it's just a matter of time; and (2) she's strongly indicated she likes MC (her saying that the key to her heart is for him to find out was a bit of a clue IMO). So I think we can take as given that it's going to happen.
  • This would completely explain 2019 Luna's reaction to seeing MC. Her recognizing MC from 20 years ago, IMO, doesn't quite get there--it would explain her being startled, but not so much her telling Skylar to stay from him. Partially, yes--"he'll break your heart just like he did mine" would move in that direction, as would "he hasn't aged a day in 20 years, so there's something very strange about him." But "he's your father" would much more readily explain it.
  • Incidentally, I suspect she's been time-traveling as well, and the tattoos she got in "a week" suggest to me that it wasn't as in lock step with the 2019 timeline as MC's travel has been to this point--e.g., she went to some other time for a month, then returned to a week after she left.
• Krystal and the twins
  • MC's had sex with both mothers (presuming Khloe is Krystal's mother, which I regard as all but certain), and cum inside. Birth control isn't 100% effective, after all.
  • But the timing isn't right; all three of them are 18, which is too young for MC to have conceived them in 1999.
    • It is, of course, possible that MC can travel by increments other than exactly 20 years, but we haven't clearly seen that happen yet. Ninja Darci does suggest it's possible though (but might have another explanation).
    • Or maybe MC waits until 2020, goes back to 2000, and gets reacquainted with Khloe and Scarlett, and that's when the three are conceived.
    • Or they time-travel forward a year?
  • 2019 Scarlett's reaction doesn't seem consistent with this. She recognizes MC--maybe with a little less certainty than does Luna--and is nostalgic, but then encourages Alyssa in, at least, flirting with him. She may not know how far Alyssa intended to go--we have Riley to thank for that--but that still seems pretty strange of her if he's Alyssa's (and thus Alice's, of course) father.

  • Timing is equally an issue as above
  • MC just hasn't had any interaction with Gabby other than rescuing her. That could lead to their getting together in future updates, I guess (and, if she didn't immediately descend into the permanent depression we understand to be the case in 2019, would give her a reason to like MC), but there's just a lot more we have to assume here.
• Jessica
  • Tiffany's already pregnant with her when MC arrives in 1999, and she knows (or at least believes) her asshole ex-boyfriend is the father.
  • Same timing issues as above, but "MC waits a year" wouldn't address them. MC goes back to earlier 1999 and they have a fling?
• Shelby, Dani, Daphne
  • Any of these are possible, I guess, but as we haven't met any of their mothers yet in 1999 I don't think there's any reason to believe it's the case.

Luna thinking the MC is from a parallel universe gave me Dark vibes as well funny enough, but I also wonder if it was more than just a joke (since Luna is said to have very keen instincts or something)

Would be interesting if MC's world is a parallel universe to this 1999 world though, which would explain why changing things there does not change things in his world (Like Jenny not "dying" though her death could also have been faked and she went to work for one of the time traveling factions) basically meaning that 1999 world is an alternate timeline and not part of his timeline.

Could also be a way allow MC to still have a good ending with some of the 1999 babes (cuz let's be real if Jenny is Jackie then that's low key depressing if she loved him and can only be with him at 60 years old while hes like 18-low 20s)
Would also allow pregnancies to happen without everyone being the MC's daughter lol

Speaking of I really hope Luna and Scarlet's sister actually get romance paths, either when in 1999 or in the present time, that'd be nice.

As a big proponent of the theory I have to admit I mostly just throw it out for the joke at this point. I could see it possibly happening but maybe not. I'm pretty sure at some point MC gets stuck in the past and has to live back until the current date which is where the old man comes from. At this point the old man is either him that has lived through the 20 years or his dad and I'm doubting its his dad. Revealing that the girl is Darcy only reinforces my belief that the future man is an older MC. I'm thinking he's having some sort of time loop issue where he keeps trying to fix the past but keeps fucking it up. And during all that time he fucks and fathers all the girls. End of theory.

I don't think he's Jessica's dad though? I think Tiffany would recognize him unless at some point you travel further back in time but I feel like the time portals are a fixed 20 years apart because time keeps progressing the same on both sides. It'd be double incest if Jessica was since he'd be fathering her with his own mom.

And the game is on Patreon and it can't have incest, the only way he can be related to anyone is through a patch created by someone else entirely, therefor it's not done by the dev so it's not official..

Dev Update #60

Hello Subscribers!

First off, I just want to thank all the new and old subscribers. Without you guys, I wouldn't be able to continue this project. I appreciate it so much! I hope I can continue creating this project at the same level or higher in the future.

With that out of the way, we can get into development progress. After the Ep7 public release, I took a week off and took care of a lot of IRL and personal things. Also had some time to relax. Then, I got to work fixing all the typos and bugs that were found recently, and I also worked on custom commissions from our Joker Tier patrons. I might add one of them to the next monthly renders post. You can also check out Ripples Discord. I already posted one of them. So development on Episode 8 has now started.

It's going to be a great episode focused a little more on the characters, but it will also feature the main story plot. There will be a lot of spicy content and scenes for which some of you have been desperately waiting. The first step for me is always to review my internal Ripples story script, which has the whole story completed(like a detailed overview of all the episodes) as guidance. Using that, I will get started on writing the dialogue for Episode 8. So that's what I'll mostly be doing for the next couple of weeks. Constantly writing dialogue can be a little much, so I'll probably occasionally take breaks and start preparing scenes, getting all the assets I need, and start porting them.

So, for now, I don't have much to report. I'll discuss Episode 8 details in more depth in the next Dev Update. Thanks again for all the support!

What I'm most looking forward to in the next update is a resolution to Jenny's situation, as indicated by MC.

And I thought about it now, with these theories that Jenny is Ms. Gilmour, wouldn't Darci be related to MC as his cousin or something?
It could be that Jenny/Ms. Gilmour and Gabby work for these time-traveling people, and their relationship is professional and not blood-related, but I really hope that Ms. Gilmour is not Jenny.

I find it very confusing to think about these possibilities.
