While this is extremely silly and can be just overseen, my OCD doesn't let me let this slip. At the end of the date with Skylar she says "This moment I'll never forget" and the protagonist responds with "Me either". While both me either and me neither can be used here, the "me neither" is technically the correct one. I'm sorry, couldn't help it.

I'm so late to this thread and very new to this website, but I just had to say you took the words straight out of my mouth. This has been wonderfully done and I can see how much hard work has been put into, with a great plot too.

My understanding is there's a whole recommendation forum or thread for things like this, but I don't know because I haven't gone to look at it.

But between the two choices given, I'd say both are really well written and have fantastic naughty scenes. Pale Carnations has heavy themes of humiliation, some BDSM stuff, and a generally fucked-up premise, so if that's not your jam Eternum might be better for you. But PC is also extremely well-written, with three-dimensional characters and what I cannot help but call actual Literary Merit (caps on purpose). I'm a giant fanboy.

But I'm a giant fanboy of Eternum's variety of settings and less-complicated character relationships too, and it is also very well written. You really won't go wrong with either game.

If you want something like Ripples then go for Eternum, it is also sci-fi but in a different sub-genre. While Ripples is about Time Travel, Eternum is about Virtual Reality/Alternate Dimension-Universe and is as light hearted as Ripples, they seem almost like twin games hehe. PC is very good (that is why it is #1 on VN Renpy on this site) too and just isn't in my top games because of the reasons Ozymandias037 mentioned above, it has a very cruel premise and some of the situations you are forced to be into are too heavy for my taste, if wasn't for that it would be on my top games, still a Tier A game for me, just not Special tier.

Of those two, if you want a Harem game, you definitely want Eternum. You can opt out of sexual relationships in Eternum, but all are available.

Edit: However, there are no family members in either of those choices.

No, but in the case of Eternum, there's a good bit of "might as well be family," especially if you want to see it that way. Most notably with Nancy, and I'd argue nearly as much with Dalia and Penny. And with all three of them being very much related, I wouldn't be too surprised to see some involvement between them--though we certainly haven't seen any such thing yet, nor has it been "teased" in the way that three threesomes have.

Yes, the MC lives with an old family friend and her two daughters. As an incest fanatic, that's hot enough for me as it is. Whether that leads to some MFFs or even MFFFs is unknown, but hoped for... by me anyway.

Given that MC's only had sex with half of them, my suspicion is that it'll be a while before we see them, but the hints aren't very subtle. I've also seen it claimed that the game dev has confirmed every girl gets at least one threesome; I think it was on his Discord where he was said to have said that. Nancy's all but suggested MC get with at least one of her daughters, but no indication that she'd join in--and given Patreon rules, probably not, so her threesome would then be with someone else--I might guess Annie, just because Nancy can't get over how cute Annie is (and I agree with her there). But I guess this discussion belongs more in the Eternum thread...

But I guess I can argue this is partially on-topic here--Riley did recommend Eternum, after all...

Dev of said VN confirmed there won't be any scenes "officially" with mother daughter threesomes because of patreon. There's a discord screenshot of the quote somewhere

On that note, I'm glad Ripples went all in on the incest. Mostly because of the clusterfuck that it's going to lead to when it comes to time shenanigans
