Feels like the game is dragging on for the past two updates. Ripples is still up there with what I consider to be some of the all time greats on this site, Eternum and BaDik, but for whatever reason, those games don't feel like they're milking it the way this one is. I didn't feel satisfied playing through this update, whereas with the other two, yeah, the wait time is also really long, but their updates feel substantial in comparison to this most recent drop.
Another issue is... the plot still has a million threads and unanswered questions. It's like playing a tabletop RPG where the GM doesn't have anything planned out and just improvs the story based on the flow of the game- it works in that case because you can get live feedback and play again every week/month/whatever, but here we're barely scratching one update PER YEAR. And if I'm being honest, the story feels pretty contrived. Every update some new mcgubbin gets revealed (dad's screwdriver USB, documents from that crazy bitch's office, some shit from her safe, etc.) that turns out to be very important in-universe at this specific moment, but pretty much gets shelved and will will totally get resolved later™.
Also, wow, way too many love interests man. Darci, Tiffany and his sister (who's name I'm drawing a blank, was it Brittney?), literally the first 3 introduced LIs still haven't had full sex scenes, only teasing, but the redhead from 1999 has already had 2? I get she's a fan favorite, but that's... kinda the problem with have 17 different girls to include during a yearly update schedule, others get shoved to the side, and we're lucky to get a hidden render. Also, we get two new LIs (technically Luna was introduced last update, but whatever) this update and we get blue balled for both of their potential scenes- awesome.
I kinda rambled, but I think some of my points are relatively cogent, regardless of my upset babbling. Rant over.
