If it wasn't "deterministic" or better said "indeterministic", every time the MC went to the past and changed something relevant when he would go back to the future (present) many things would have been changed, that other "original" timeline would still exist but in his observing point of view it would be deleted/erased.

I think Jestur flirted with the idea when MC thought he changed Crystal name right, someone wrote on this thread about this some days ago. Maybe Jestur was really thinking about we changing the future on the Past but then gave up because would be a pain in the ass to control all the changes.
Or who knows, imagine if the next update we are on the present and we really changed/screwed something by doing something in the past, who knows? only Jestur

Yep that is a great example, it seems Jestur nibble a bit on that concept but like you said fast they realized that it would be a branching nightmare, also time travel already give some kind of "linear branch" that in this case is events in 2019 and 1999. We can't forget that Ripples focus more on its strengths that are the quality of writing and the high quality of visuals. There isn't much space/time left to make it a very complex branching game and maybe just like Classy Lemon dev it isn't their forte, the coding part I mean, for that there is already other games with that particular strength and focus.

Fair enough, but don't think Ripples is supposed to be a Harem game, and with Patreon involved it seems even impossible to MC to be the father of all the girls so of course other male character will be on the picture but we will probably will never see none of them.

And considering the characters of the girls, how they feel about the MC, events happened, and happening right now if developer decides to make girls pregnant from other dudes this would be against of almost everything we saw until this point, would be illogical, and even create some plot holes. I personally don't think Jestur would go that way, that would only decrease the quality of the writing, best way would be writing story based on MC being father of all those girls, making that ''unofficial patch'' and sharing version with that detail not in it to avoid the patreon police.

And considering the characters of the girls, how they feel about the MC, events happened, and happening right now if developer decides to make girls pregnant from other dudes this would be against of almost everything we saw until this point, would be illogical, and even create some plot holes. I personally don't think Jestur would go that way, that would only decrease the quality of the writing, best way would be writing story based on MC being father of all those girls, making that ''unofficial patch'' and sharing version with that detail not in it to avoid the patreon police.

The patreon version will always have other fathers that aren't the MC, don't think there's any way around it.
I don't think that's illogical for the girls that the MC fucked already on 99 to move on, specially if he never comes back, but no idea how that goes. Jestur will get there eventually.

The story we have here is not just MC having fillings with the girls, it shows strong signs as they see MC as their destined one, love of their lifes, girl or man, you don't just ''move on'' from your love of life, that's something will effect your whole life, especially you don't just get pregnant or become father after just 1 year, even if you move on it will take years to heal from it.

As I told with how current story is fathers of those girls not being MC would be lore/story breaking, unless Jestur wants to change a lot of stuff about the game it would make no sense their fathers not to be MC with current details we know. Sure we will see how Jestur will handle, but considering he did good job with the writing until this point aside from small hickups I don't believe he would want nonsense way like that, I wanna believe he will deliver good writing, even tho a lot of developers tend to disappoint when it comes to writing of these games, especially at latest parts or endings.

Yeah I could agree with some of them seeing MC as filling, at least for now, since we don't know if their relationship will evolve into something more, or not, but as you stated some of them sees MC as someone they are destined, their love of life, like Scarlett, and Jenny. But making only couple girls's daughters fathers MC, and making others not, especially since they all got pregnant in same year would be illogical, and messy as well. Of course I'm saying this over things we know now, if they got more close to the MC, and their relationship turn into something more, than it would make even less sense in this case.

Honestly every game with time traveling exist is messy anyway, but I still rather not have obvious dumb/nonsense plot holes, and have small, less illogical ones if it's not possible to create lore/story making fully sense, in most cases it's not always possible with time traveling theme as I told. But yeah, we will see what Jestur will do with the story later on, I'm just hoping he do good job as he is doing now, aside from some small hickups I'm not really seeing big plot holes, and problems, yet, and would be happy to not see later on as well.

I have confidence and hope Jestur will do a good job.
And just to clarify, my thoughts are similar to yours that the story would make more sense if MC was father to most girls, I was just saying that won't happen in the official patreon version.
And I'm pretty sure Jestur will deliver a good story even with the patreon constraints, at least I hope so

I agree with your reasoning and I hope you're right but I have seen other authors go with the nonsensical to dodge the wrong-think police before.
I'm fully expecting the worst in this case even if the dev opts to barely bring it up and handwave it away instead.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if nearing completion the dev says "Fuck it we ball" and "temporal incest it is bois!".

1- You seem to have no idea how love works, love is not works as you think, it's not something you can control, you mostly fell in love mostly in first sight, then it progress the more you spent time with that person. What I said was with all info we have, especially developer saying the game gonna have harem path/ending, and those girls having relationship with someone else than MC, and having kids would be against that it will make more sense those girls fathers being MC, I didn't went into details, since I'm not writer of the game it's not my job, if I should give some examples without thinking too much about it I would say; there could be some reasoning like MC needing to go back where he lives because of time travel laws, or could be that he actually spent his time with girls at 1999, and didn't abandon them, but had to erase their memories, because of protecting time laws, or maybe there will be a attack or something affecting their memories, etc, it can be everything as long it fits the lore, and don't create obvious plot holes. And we will see how things will be in future when the time comes, my only hope Jestur not creating obvious plot holes, and keeping the good writing.

At one point a couple of years back Jestur was talking about how even the Jessica and Skylar choices wouldn't ultimately preclude a player from pursuing both of them, it would just slow down the paths for those two respectively. That might have changed, but then the game is not finished yet.
