Agreed, I'm a sucker for time travel, alternate timelines, and multi-verse stuff, so it grabbed me pretty good once those elements came into play. No to mention Darci grabbed me by the balls and didn't let go XD she's hilarious!

Unless they're changing the RenPy version or doing a Steam rewrite, there shouldn't be a problem. While I understand the sentiment based on a lot of other VNs I've been playing, you're being a bit of a muppet with this.

Yeah this is because mods make variable changes and that embeds into the save data, its fine if you have decent modders that update quick orrrr provide removal patches. (I can think of good ol' Sancho that provided a way to unfuck your saves) but yeah, as always mods are use at your own risk, hence the asterisk on main page

That is one theory, there are some in this game mostly because Jestur regularly places hints/clues or even misleading ones in the renders, you will find some if you carefully inspect each render hehe sometimes can lead to something and others can be just a red herring. It is an interesting way of use a VN to create interesting debates and theories, even though I don't intervene on much of them (because I'm awful at theorize haha) but I enjoy read all of them, agreeing or not with them

Speaking of theories, if Ms Gilmour is indeed Jenny who was thrown 20 years back in time by the 2009 accident, did she lose her memory? Or could she actually remember us from our 1999 visits, even though 40 years have passed for her?

Couple of things I thought of. One, she's 40+ years older than MC in the current timeline, which doesn't bode well for them having any kind of relationship that they could have had if both were young. Two, she's the grandmother of a girl she knows is MC's best friend and recognizes Darci's underlying attraction/love for MC and doesn't want to screw that up by him finding out that she's the girl he started liking in 1999. Third, she knows all the ins and outs of time travel and how revealing actions in the past the MC has to do might screw up the timeline more. There are other things, like how her sister would react knowing that she has purposefully stayed out of her life if MC lets that slip, there are consequences in the present if past information gets leaked that should best be left unknown regarding time travel, etc.

I still don't know how this theory works.
Assume the theory is right. Jenny goes back to become Darcy's grandmother. Darcy's mother was then born in 1989 (20 years earlier). In 1999, she's at university. Darcy needs to be born not long after her mother's incident when at university. So she'd need to be shoehorned back in time again to be old enough to have kids, let alone to place Darcy (or Darcy would need to be pushed back, or something).
There may be some reveal that people went back further, or could go back further, or something. But as it stands, there's no good evidence. I also have a lot more faith in Jestur's writing ability than to assume a hacky solution to a non-issue. (I'd even take a parallel, out of sync, universe, solution, as tired as that often is.)
I wont comment on the jenny/gilmour thing but i think another good related question to ask is: Which (or how much) do the girls from 1999 know/remember about the MC? In particular his mom because I would think that the time that a "random" person came out of nowhere to save you and beat the loud bully that nobody had stood up to ( also anything that happens with MC/Tiffany/Jenny in the upcoming update) would be something Tiffany would remember and when your "tenant"
ends up looking the same youd think she would notice something is up.Maybe since she didnt see the MC dick she only remembered him as "default brunette male"

One possibility is that they generally just don't remember him from the past; can you remember exactly the faces of friends and acquaintances from 20 years in your past if they popped up today? Skylar's mom recognized him immediately, but then she has an eidetic memory. Tiffany watched MC grow up, so in her mind he's still that little kid to her, not the guy who saved her and spent time at the (upcoming) party and whatever other activities the plot has planned out. Scarlett doesn't really recognize him since he's just her daughter's friend from school, but then when she looks at her keepsake box finds the photos and realizes what a striking resemblance there is. This plays into the theory is that there was ever only one timeline and MC is predestined to fulfill all of the actions of the past whether the older versions of the 1999 girls remember him or not.
Another theory is that someone did all the actions in the past originally, just not MC. But now that he's gone back the timeline is forcing him to assume the roles of whoever originally did them so as to keep the timeline from unravelling. He's caused some minor disruptions, such as passing the "counterfeit" money from 2019, but the timeline smooths that over as well. The more he interacts with the girls in 1999 the more events he becomes the actuator for, thus their memories are more linked to him and they become more likely to recognize his 2019 presence.
