I suspect after this update it'll be a while before we go back to '99, if ever. It felt sorta like a farewell party, leave that time period with a blast. Especially with what happens with Luna toward the end, that look she gives which is nearly identical to the one she gave him in '19. Sorta like she never saw him again after that to get closure about the whole situation, before she runs into him again in '19. That scene with Jenny felt pretty final to me as well, like they'd never see each other again or at least not for a long time.I will say it's interesting that we're still in the past at the end of this one. Usually it's one in the present, one in the past and so on. The fact that we've been in the past for 2 makes me feel like making any progress in the present with any of the characters there keeps getting farther and farther away.
Are we close to having Tiffany or Jessica at all? Not really. We've only really spent time with one of Scarlett's twins. The other one apparently has some shitty boyfriend that's causing her problems but we've never even touched that. I think she's been on screen and talking a total of twice even though she's apparently one of the MC's closer friends.
I get that the Past is where the plot is and that to try to change the present we have to go there more often, but I really am starting to feel like the present is getting further away from any kind of progress outside of Skylar and Darci.
Hope I'm wrong because I actually enjoy the time MC spends in '99.
