Yeah I thought so as well but when I went back and replayed her scenes the way they talk to each-other in the library and on the walk home, it's a scene where they're each feeling the other out and getting to know each other a little. Friends generally know where each other live for example. Alice had no clue the MC lives close to her.
When you rescue her from her boyfriend the bf asks if the MC is one of her stupid friends, something along those lines. MC responds nope, she's just a classmate.

They've likely seen each other around school, but were never really close.
Only reason I even went back to check those scenes is my neighbors were screaming at each other till around 3am last night, keeping me awake. As I listened to them argue it brought to mind this conversation about Alice and her boyfriend. And something in the back of my mind kept nagging at me that something was off about thinking of her as a friend. So figured why the hell not, I'll skip through and check real quick, not like I was going to get to sleep again until the shitty neighbors shut the fuck up anyway.

That is just nothing a mere incest patch could add in a plausible way. You would need tons of additional renders for that to work well.

I don't know. The patched mod works great for me. Doesn't seem forced at all, and scenes all make sense. I often forget I am playing something with an external patch.

Yeah, currently it's pretty easy to alter things so Tiff, Jess and Jenny are family. But to change the whole story to make the girls in '19 his daughters would take a lot more alterations.

Yeah, because all the mod had to do were slight changes in the text. But that wouldn't work for such a massive revelation anymore. Not for the MC and especially not for all the women involved. There would need to be at least SOME form of reaction and shock about finding that out that wouldn't have a place in the unmodded game.

Might not be the utmost authority, but Microsoft Copilot says about two full sleeves that "Very intensive clients sometimes finish in 6–8 days of back-to-back appointments, but this demands high pain tolerance and carries risk of 'tattoo flu'".
More importantly: if Skylar had access to a more advanced time machine, why did she not return just a day after leaving, so that she wouldn't get in trouble at her job and her mom wouldn't worry for longer?

I'd take any information given by an ai chatbot with a handful of salt with how often they're wrong because of "hallucinations". But even if Skylar could withstand getting her sleeves done in that timeframe, and the artist was willing to do that, it'd still take a long time for them to fully heal. And they show no sign of being very fresh when we see her. New tats are pretty obvious because of the inflammation, especially very large tats like those sleeves.

She's a skatergirl in training, she's used to pain. Also, I've know people who got sleeves in two weeks.

Yeah, but she wasn't gone 2 weeks. And there's still the healing time after to consider. No matter how high your pain tolerance, getting that much ink that quickly is going to take time to recover from. In game it doesn't give a specific timeframe that she's gone, it only says she's been gone "days" before she shows back up. But that doesn't sound like long, perhaps not even a full week.

Why didn't she return sooner then, just because it would have been harder to explain the tattoos? Her mom was really worried for a week, and she surely knew she'd get fired. Yeah, she did get her job back but she didn't know that would happen, and she was working so that her mom could get out of debt.

Who knows why she didn't just come back to the instant after she left. Perhaps to make it slightly less obvious something was really fucking weird with her instantly having full sleeves out of nowhere. But she couldn't stay missing too long, she probably didn't want to worry her mom and the MC too much. So staying missing for a realistic timeframe for those sleeves to make sense was sort of off the table. So maybe she just came back to a point where the sleeves were questionable but hoped nobody would think too hard on the situation, instead of it being completely obvious something was up.
It's also possible that it's a similar type of time travel to what the MC uses, but they've found a way to change the ratio of time passing. Say, instead of 1 to 1 like the MC, it could be 1 day missing for every 4 in the other time period. If so, she couldn't choose when exactly to come back to, same as the MC.
