Months waiting for the update and for what? So that he comes to give us filler nothing more... An unnecessary party that does not contribute anything to the plot. It just shows that the dev is running out of ideas and did anything to launch its "update"
Where are you talking about :KEK: Running out of ideas? This is a game, games are supposed to be fun, I don’t know what to tell you dude :ROFLMAO:

Not to mention that the whole party was there to drop hints and clues for familial relationships and then drop a big giant plot bomb at the end.

Also, it was a fun party with lots of character interactions, which this whole game has been about from the beginning.

Every update has had one or two key moments, surrounded by lots of character development. Some of those key moments took longer than others, especially in the first 1999 segment, but none have been dominated by the moments over the character development.

So if you finished this last update and thought "The dev suddenly doesn't know what he's doing, this was all filler" why are you still playing? You should have dropped out long ago.

Based on the idea that this chapter was "all filler" then the Skylar date was pretty much all filler -- both of them actually. Watching TV with Tiffany was filler. Helping Jessica with her camera was filler. Speaking of camera's, the photo shoot at the boutique was definitely filler. Working on the class project with Alyssa was filler. The time at the lake with Scarlett was filler. Practicing lewds with Darci is filler. Exercising with Valerie and Tiffany is filler. Also the challenge in the jewelry shop is filler. Spending time with Krystal is filler ... pretty much all of it except the stuff pertaining to the blackmail, so ice cream date is filler. Most time spent with Jenny is filler -- playing on the computer, in the arcade, messing around on the car. Pretty much the only parts of her story not filler would be the times trying to convince her to not work at the plant -- although how you would accomplish that without building a relationship first is beyond my writing skills.

And that's why the whole "filler" argument is so stupid. NOTHING in this story works without the MC developing relationships with all these people. And the party was the latest part of that. If the party doesn't happen, Luna doesn't get so scared of the MC that 20 years later she drops the "ANYONE BUT HIM" bomb on Skyler, completely changing her story going forward. ... an event that has been set up since we first met her.

So yea, all you "filler episode" people are clearly playing the wrong AVN for your tastes. I suggest trying something else.

Yes, everything Elhemeer said. Not to mention, we have this from the dev himself NOTE: I cut out a lot of the post that I did not feel was immediately relevant; please do not misinterpret this as the entire quote. It's not.):

The first is that I see some people are upset about side girl content. Yes, I added one scene with Tori and Vanessa because it's a party, and what's more party-like than hooking up with random girls? So I figured I would add one scene with random side girl content. It's the same reason I added a drinking game, because that's what happens at a party.

I'm not sure why people think Jenny, Scarlett, and Khloe are not main girls. Jenny is 100% a main girl and one of the most important characters in the game. Making sure her character is fleshed out and her scenes are impactful is important to me. I know there are some people who want to skip all those girls and go straight to Tiffany and Jessica content, but this is a tale of two generations of people. Their side is half of the story. What happens in 1999, especially in episodes 7 and 8 are crucial for the rest of the story. Having the characters fleshed out and progressing their stories is important for what's to come. I can't move on in the story without it. I didn't want to rush this trip to 1999, and people would then complain I'm rushing the story, and I don't care about the game, and I just want to finish it and move on.

I understand your frustration, but don't worry. There will be amazing content with Tiffany and Jessica. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.

...

Having an incredible and memorable night with Jenny and the other girls in 1999 is essential to the plot. And it will make whats to come way more impactful.

If too much story is getting in the way of your fun, you should check out Isekai-Paradise.
Then again, story is kind of a given considering the N in AVN.

OK, this dude somehow managed to play as Mark instead of the MC at the party...

is Cindy alive in 2019 does anything hint at that or her and husband status ?
I don't really recall. I believe the only thing we know about Cindy in '19 is that Dani is related to her (since Danis mom is Cindys niece). Since Dani is friends with Shelby, who's the daughter of the power plants owner, it's possible their families are still close.

This is obviously an assumption on my part, but since Shelby's family wasn't part of the plant in 1999, I figured that something happens to Cindy and her husband, and again I figured it is part of the disaster. Doesn't mean they're dead, just figured they weren't around in 2019 ... at least not 20 years older than they were in 1999 at least.

I don't know if the owner of the plant in '99 is ever really mentioned. But since Shelbys dad seems to be the leader of the opposition time travel group and they were active in the plant in '99, which we know because of the kidnapping of Darcis mom to experiment on and those documents you were sent to steal from Cindy. I'd assume he's the owner then as well, just letting hired hands like Cindy and her husband do all the on site work at that time.

Entirely possible that Cindy and her husband were caught up in the accident that happened though since I don't ever recall either being mentioned in '19.

But the power plant at that time is closed down and we don't know where they're basing their experiments and time travel operation out of in '19. So we don't really know much about them. The only people I'm aware that are confirmed to be part of that group, or at least working for them, are Riley (temporarily) the principal who Riley beat down in the bushes and Shelbys dad who we see in the restaurant with Skylar on their date but never really interact with.

So Cindy and her husband could still be around and we just haven't encountered them yet, since we haven't really come into direct conflict with the enemy faction in '19 at this point. They could still be in charge of their new operations base, wherever that is now. All we know is Shelbys dad bought up lots of properties in town, so it could be anywhere.
