Even though I agree with you in principle there is a gap of 10 years from that scene until the power plant incident and many events may have happen to justify Jenny going to the past 20 years to 1989 and then it is many years living a new identity (30 more and on those years some are overlapping 2 versions of her) until 2019 to enforce her resolve about the decision. So isn't that unplausible that it may happen, of course on the basis that this theory is true.

I wouldn't say it is hypocritical, life change us, events change us, a son/daughter change us and we grow and start seeing things differently with a different perspective than when "we" are 21 years old. You simply base your opinion on what she is in that moment in 1999 and it is normal that we do, but there is so many things to explain in the story.

I love a good mystery, and this one mixed with sci-fi time travel. Now the harder part is to explain how Jenny/Ms. Gilmour went from that point A (1999) to point B (2009-»1989) to point C (2019) in a more and less plausible manner and this being a time travel story always raise a bit more my "suspension of disbelieve" state than other genres, so doesn't have to be a perfect explanation because there isn't on paradoxes.

Again, all this with the premise that this theory is correct, that in my personal opinion I'm certain that is correct on a probability of 90%+. It is too many coincidences, even the age of Jackie Gilmour in 2019 "confirms" this theory.

I guess you could be right about Jenny changing in a decade, numbers adding up etc, but what about her daughter? We have no idea who she is yet other than a name Tiffany gives us, she's more than likely about 10 years old in 2009 (let me know if I'm wrong), which would mean Jenny got pregnant in 1999, people have a hard time believing she'd move on from the MC in such a short amount of time. Which leads to people theorizing that Jenny's kid is actually the MC's.

If that turns out to be true, then Darci's mother would be the MC's kid and Darci would be his granddaughter, and because of Patreon rules I highly doubt we'd be allowed for that kind of incest right? Thus I doubt that would be put in the game.

So if it's true (as many here seem to believe) that we're done with 1999, then MC can't be the father of her kid--unless they have another go at it before he leaves, presumably at the beginning of the next update (they did spend the night together, after all, and he isn't gone yet). At most, she gets a DNA sample of him somewhere and manages something like a clone--she is the brainy one, after all.

True, I guess it'll just come down to how the time stream works and if we ever go back to 1999, which will be a pretty long time if ever.

Even though Jenny loves the MC completely at this point, and chances are slim she slept with another man in the span of two years despite knowing the MC time travels, I guess that's not impossible either.

I first played Ripples around episode 4 or 5 so I'm not really sure but from what some members said here before they said that started with incest by default (and some are annoying when say that is the canon story, nope canon story is whatever the last update is and only when the game finishes that is the final canon story) but not long after a patch/mod was made for it to keep the game under the policies of patreon, not really sure if before or after the purge patreon started doing on incest games.

We need to remember that Honey Select games main revenue is patreon, HS games can't be sold on Steam for example because there isn't legal licenses of HS engine use and those are required to be sold commercially, all software used to develop a game require licenses of use from Steam.

Exactly correct, even forgot that lol but the main point was that HS games are very dependent mostly from 1 revenue source that is patreon while Daz games can get a steady income from Steam sales. There is others like Subscribestar and Itch.io but from what I read from others the revenue those give are residual compared with patreon because of their limited payment options.

Didn't said different, actually enforces that HS games have 1 main source of revenue while Daz games have at least 2 good options. Finishing a first season with a well organized developer (in a good quality release) takes at least 1-2 year(s) so yeah you are correct.

Didn't read about that new policy from steam so wasn't aware, thanks for the info btw, and even yesterday I open steam to add some games on my wishlist to help those devs in the little I can and on my wishlist saw still a few games on early access but my guess is that those were previous contracts before that new policy.

I miss this game already. I usually start from scratch each update but I always make the same decisions so replays are best left for the next update. My curiosity where the story is going and my personal theories, and of course, The discussions in this thread are keeping my hype levels unreasonably high. Not to mention that Ripples is one of the absolute best VNs I have played. I think this is how junkies feel while anticipating their next hit.

I think it already makes sense, I played the last update without incest patch and was pretty flawless.
I remember someone said an early game scene with Jessica sounded weird without the patch, but I played that part with the incest patch so not sure.
And remember that the intended way to play now is without incest, doesn't matter if Jestur intended it to be incest or not at the beginning.
