Seems the game got an update though I kinda wish he shared what exactly got an update more publicly so I got a feel for the progress and decide whether or not I want to support it at this time.
I honestly don't think we'll be getting another update since the dev plans on setting up a login (if they haven't done that already) as far as I know, plus the whole DMCA thing they have planned as well apparently...If you skim through the comments you'll see for yourself. When can we get the latest update? Almost have been 1 month
what do you expected from a dev that put a login/auth for his demo, throw tantrum and threaten to DMCA this site, more into that its still not finished and put into paywallI'm getting the strong feeling that this will get abandoned at this point from sheer lack of public interest: No posts on twitter, which was a good platform to at least share development updates. The whole arguing with folk here which surely didn't make this dev popular, and the login that will only add an extra step to playing the game.
Shame, too. I was really digging that first person view. Need more games like this.
You know there are countless devs who would have no financial worries if they would get instead of this "support" ten cents (or even less) for every download from pirate sites.I just want to say, there are countless devs that pirate their own games onto this site and fully support the community and constantly update the forums of their games they upload themselves. They - in turn - are supported by pirates through input, feedback and even offering financial support. Thavus, they have a better reputation and are more successful than you will ever be if you continue down this path.
Why must you act like this, Thavus? Are you intentionally trying to piss everybody off, or are you so new to the indie scene that you're genuinely unaware that you are one of the very few devs that have this big of a problem that you need to stunt the growth of your game and very livelihood to combat piracy?
I just can't fathom the thought process here.
Forgive me for not being able to properly comprehend your reply to me due to the lack of punctuation and organization of your comment, understandable if English isn't your first language, so I will attempt to reply relevantly to it:You know there are countless devs who would have no financial worries if they would get instead of this "support" ten cents (or even less) for every download from pirate sites.
It's simple math: e.g. Alenja's Adventures has tens of thousands downloads per update from Svscomics alone. Ten cents or even less per download would mean thousands of dollars for the dev. From patreons he gets few hundred dollars per month. Patreon and similar sites don't solve this problem of piracy: 99,9% don't pay for the games.Forgive me for not being able to properly comprehend your reply to me due to the lack of punctuation and organization of your comment, understandable if English isn't your first language, so I will attempt to reply relevantly to it:
I also doubt any dev would mind getting so much as 10 cents or less from the download buttons being clicked on and I can kind of get behind that idea. But, at the same time, if devs were asking for financial support via Patreon, kofi, etc, it would be safe to say that they are already having financial worries that a simple 5-10 cents from a download click can be able to make any real difference. The fact countless indie devs pirate their games onto here THEMSELVES, its safe to say its because they have a release plan.
What I mean by that is; Direct supporters who fund the dev are given the newest version of their game's latest version before everybody else (what I mean by "newest versions of their latest versions" is including patches and hotfixes). Generally, a week to a month gap between the version releases to pirate sites and the version releases to direct supporters. What I'm proposing here is that the dev should do something similar to these other devs that do this exact method for their games. This way, the dev can go through a redemption arc and potentially get more support rather than backlash.
I genuinely can't imagine this dev is having much financial trouble if he is on here going through the motions of getting a lawyer involved and trying to DMCA the site... if he IS having financial trouble, what he is doing is only going to destroy his own livelihood more than help it.
Here is an example of what I mean:

Yes, it was. I’m also learning how to do VR in my free time. I may spend an afternoon throwing together a small VR tech demo, not anytime soon.if the log in system was implemented?
They are, but I wouldn't bother. It's a large file for just one sex scene and any further demo versions will most likely be censored.New here. I've read lots of old comments on the censorship but I checked the links and the file is named uncensored. Are the links updated to the uncensored files now?
Thanks for the heads up. No surprise there this industry is just ripe for milking money. Sad, I've seen a preview and I especially like the Dead by Daylight style quick time eventThey are, but I wouldn't bother. It's inspired by Dbd. It was fun to code. Yeup, trying to make money so I can pay people for voice acting, model sculpting, etc. Very sad that those people won't just work for me for free. Thanks for the heads up. the dev is not here. Luckily someone uploaded this game here cuz you need to pay to have the uncensored versionLooks beautiful... but you need to either disable the vr plugin in unreal editor or provide an working vr implementation or people with vr headsets attached to their computers won't be able to play your game.
