This is one of the better jrpg that feels more like a manga with animation n shit.
Downside: It's lacking in corruption in comparison to its predecessor game.

I redownloaded the game 6 times and i kept getting this Error too, the game is impossible to play right now sadly.

I used sjisunzip to fix the weird scramble folder name error.

You must be registered to see the links

After you extract Magical Valkyrie Frostia using sjisunzip, you can apply the patch as normal~

There a function on Bandizip (Bandizip is an app like WinRar/7-Zip) call [Code page] you could select Japanese and then use Extract Here (Smart) function for extra sure.

dont open the Sjinsunzip. Just drag the winrar on top of it.
After doing that, it will extract the winrar file for you~
