is the modded one the same as vanilla, considering the mod is called 0.978 and this vanilla tread mentions 0.979e?

Where's the non-broken updated Windows version? Current version posted in OP is literally unplayable.

Yeah, I got to play it for one session. But when I tried to continue later on, as soon I opened the game, the error screen popped up and I was completely unable to play it.

That happens sometimes, just close it and re-open or give us the errors so someone can check into it.
