I'm lost. How is someone maintaining the same level of subscribers for 10 YEARS means that his art has gotten worse? Like his numbers didn't even drop during the pandemic. Like, are you expecting infinite growth forever? Why is Oni not having infinite growth mean his subscribers checked out? I mean, his levels didn't drop DURING THE PANDEMIC. If there was a time for checked out people to cut costs, it was then. Not only that, have you seen the number of people that voted in the polls? That's around 50% of his paid members.
My answer is people subscribe to him because he release stand alone art commissions and not just Rogue Like. If Rogue Like was his only thing I am sure he would be losing subscribers. Not to mention because we can't see how much he is earning we don't know how happy his subscribers are.

They also stick around in hopes of getting one of the girls they like and hopes he doesn't fuck her up beyond recognition.

Also just because someone dislikes some of the stuff he releases doesn't mean all of it is bad.

For instance I absolutely dislike Kitty's blow job animation, cause her head is just weird, but all her other poses a great. Oni's Emma is extremely hot, but doesn't mean I don't dislike her doggy position because she looks like a totally different person even though it is still extremely hot, nor does it mean I like her cowgirl positions because of the bad proportions and perspective. I think Oni's Laura and Rogue is extremely hot and all their artwork is good in terms of consistency and proportions, doesn't mean I won't complain about how janky their animations are since he just uses they standing idle poses and moves them up and down for some of the posses. Jubilee for the most part is well proportioned and her animations are decent, but doesn't change the fact that Oni does a horrible job shading her, and her feet covering the view of her anus and pussy during sex has to be an intentional F U to the players because there is no way he doesn't know that would annoy the players.

Point is there is lots to criticize even if you like some of his stuff.

Just like most people will criticize Youtube for being awful, dysfunctional search that shows you completely irrelevant stuff, shadow banning, content suppression, promoting scams and propaganda, DCMA abuse, rabbit hole recommendations, constant UI changes, removing of quality of life features, etc... and yet it is still the most used video hosting platform and growing.

Why? Because there is nothing like Youtube out there. Nothing can compete with Youtube because other companies can't afford to roll out servers nodes across the globe, storage, and pay for the bandwidth costs like Youtube because they don't have another company like Google subsidizing their freemium model. Same with Twitch and Amazon. Both Youtube and Twitch lose huge amounts of money each year, but are only around because Google and Amazon use them as a loss leader.

Oni is in a kind of similar position where his game is the only one that really gives you lots of choices during sex, while having semi-dynamic animations, and not soul sucking amount of grind / reading. While being partial subsidized by his art commissions.

I don't expect infinite growth, but if your numbers are stagnate for 10 years, it obviously doesn't mean people are particularly happy with what you're doing does it? And even if people aren't happy with what you're doing doesn't mean your numbers are always going to drop like the Youtube example where you're the only one filling a very particular niche.

The idea that if people are unhappy will mean that he would be losing Patreons, while people being happy with his work would mean he would be gaining Patreon members is a false dichotomy.

So, if he had complaints, you'd say people hate his stuff. If he had no complaints, you'd say people have checked out. If he's getting praise (which he is. I've posted them), you'd still say people have checked out. With your statement and logic, there's no way he's NOT doing bad.
I already explained it to you. In a previous post. Dude has 6,000 patreons, he gets only about 10 people who ever says anything on each post. Almost none of it is meaningful critique or praise. Most of the responses are just reporting crashes, asking for next character, or basic game questions.

Patreon doesn't seem to be a place where people actively engages with him or discuss what is going on with game. Possibly maybe because he has a discord or he gets most of his feedback on some other forum board. Add that in with the social aspect of each platform, like how I compared Patreon and F95.

People can also greatly dislike something and it isn't reflected everywhere. For instance more people are likely to complain on yelp about something than directly on some restaurant's facebook page.

So you asking for examples about people not being happy about Doreen on Patreon only seems to be just cherry picking.

question, if our character has the ability to even block out Prof. X's mind reading. how the fuck did the sentinel even detect them? i mean youd think itd extend to fucking with sentinel scanning.
The Sentinels track the X-gene, thats what makes a mutant a mutant in Marvel comics, and while Zero can block powers with contact and powers being used on him, he cant block out Cerebro.

So, uhmm... I got curious. I've only been subbed to his patreon for the last... I think 6 months so I don't have a very long view? So your statement is

Right? Right? So he's bad because his subscribers haven't grown, right?

Oh look. His subscribers have grown from this time last year.

So yeah... Kinda blows your whole argument out of the water, doesn't it? (I'm expecting an "Well no. Because if you look at <insert something else that amounts to a moving the goal post fallacy here>") Also kinda proves that your statement was a begging the question fallacy, doesn't it?

But yeah. QED my dude. Capitalism at work. I'm done here. You have a nice life.

My statement was under the assumption of what you said was true, that his Patreon numbers have stayed the same and under a second assumption that you have been subscribed for a long period of time. Which you just proved the first half wasn't true.

So it not much of a gotcha moment when you present something that isn't true, and some else responds base on the wrong information that you provide them.

Unless I am misunderstanding the begging the question fallacy, which I understand to means continuing to insist something is true or a valid point even after being presented with valid evidence or an augment otherwise.

Then no its not begging the question because you never presented anything contradictory to the statement I made was saying until this post.

I think the correct fallacy here is either a hasty generalization or anecdotal fallacy, cause of lack of verification on my part to see what the Patreon numbers were over time and simply taking your word for it that it had stayed the same for the entire time. Also the second assumption is also.

Edit: Seems like I was confusing begging the question with proof by assertion fallacy.

Also rereading when you first asked if I was begging the question. The answer is no I was not because what you asked was a completely non sequitor what was said.

Some how you interpreted this
Also the fact that you are having a hard time finding complaints about the girls proves what leathermax was saying. Which is Oni's Patreons are fine with how bad the art is.
Into this.
So... lack of complaints about art means the art is bad because the art is bad... Isn't that the begging the question fallacy?
The conclusion was that Yes Oni's Patreons are fine with the bad art in the game.

The conclusion wasn't just the art was bad. The part that was disputed is whether or not the Patreons are okay with the art being bad.

The first premise of the statement was that the art is bad for all the previous stated reasons (proportions and inconsistency which I think I did an adequate job of laying laid out in this post).

The second premise which is that Oni has Patreons that don't complain much on Patreon, which you laid out.

The third premise is that he has a net gain of Patreons. As in he has any Patreons at all.

Lastly this is all assuming people aren't becoming his Patreons for some other reason other than just the game.

So no its not begging the question because the conclusion is not 1 premise proving itself, but rather a conclusion drawn from 3 premises.

Why are you guys writing a bible over here? Sheesh, cool it with the essay, boys.
We all know Oni is limited and borderline dumb, but we like his game notheless.
Hell, I've had many complaints over the years, but I'm a paying supporter either way.
And if you don't like the game, no one really cares. Just ignore the game and move on with life.

Damn...

Ok, so for those who haven't been following along, last year I gave a new 69 pose to Betsy and Doreen, and over this year I'll be making one for all the remaining girls. Everyone will get one, it's just a matter of which order they get it (oh, and Wanda's will also be automatic later in the schedule). The first winner was Rogue for 1.6, then Kitty for 1.61, this will decide who gets one in version 1.62. Remaining girls listed in order of when they first arrived.

Laura

I wanted Storm to be the next to have the 69 position. Looks like it's going to be Emma.

Yeah, I mean... some of us are still here, for better and for worse.

I's a toxic relationship that some of us can't bring ourselves to bail on because of the history, and how this game has brought some of us together - like, not too be too much of a sentimental pussy, but, the friends we actually made along the way.

I'm just guessing, but I think that Oni started with a pretty good idea on how the game should be... and the idea has run its course. He'd need more ideas to develop it further, but perhaps he hit some creative wall, and the only way he sees himself working on the game is adding more of the same old content. More girls, more positions, but the core is still the same.
