But I mean, hasn't he already had loves in his life? I mean, my research is only 2-minutes deep but it seems like the characters that we'll be smashing aren't people that Logan would really care for, or at least regard anything other than other X-Men.

Most definitely, since Logan will see most of the girls (maybe not Emma) in a fatherly/mentor way. It would be cool to have some sort of quest for Logan to maybe increase Laura's love for you.

I've found sometimes when changing from false to true that when you first click to edit in notepad, it will slightly shift. No idea if that causes problems but i never take the chance.

If you can, extract the file again and then edit again watching carefully and see if that worked.

All you have to do is visit class room in evening hours monday-friday

You have to be outside of class room to trigger this event, say in midday you took some day classes you should exit room and go back.

I tried with starting the game over did the whole Rogue story to acquire her as well as got Kitty they approved of Emma. However I only get Emma to say that she barely tolerates the MC an other girls. Later once accepting relationship with Emma I only get "Now you're starting to bore me" Seems like there's no way for Emma to green light the threesome option willingly.
