This and Friend's Harem are very different beasts, IMO. Unlike being 'initially cucked' like in FH, in this one the girls only have an obsession with your er... 'Rival', but that's about it. You're the one doing the cucking, or at least the current Main Protag is.
I think if you want a sadistic/dominant MC who is capable of fucking and cucking, then both games are similar in that respect. RomCom is a bit darker, I think, but all together if you liked FH, you'll probably like this.

Just finished chapter 2 of this game, and with all honesty I was cautious about this game due to the comments and reviews because I was already lost and confused by the game description and the developer was being mysterious with his/her answers to people's concerns and questions due to not wanting to "Spoil" anything, which made it even more confusing and certain tags everyone has mentioned over and over again (Multiple protagonists and some mentions of ntr). BUT when I played it, I slowly started to understand but in the end I'm still a little lost. This games concept is pretty simple but at the same time really frustrating because it has a lot of meta and 4th wall breaking comedy along with some horror? (I haven't noticed much I could be stupid), The Unnamed "MC" is taken over by US the player, because he was going down a route of losing everything an ACTUAL NTR ROUTE caused by HIMSELF, his childhood friends and all his lovers to the "King"(AKA your rival throughout the entirety of EP1 I assume)(AKA the yellow hair guy in the back of the picture of the game) so I can see the confusion of NTR but there really isn't any considering we just took out the loser and enter the guy with an actual spine to do something about his girls getting took and NOT wanting ntr at all. The developer does a lot of teasing with ntr but them themselves aren't going for that type of story which is stated in the game (But that only applies to EP1 and how it ends, I don't know if it applies to the other episodes coming in the future). So, we are left with a lot of questions and confusion still, but the developer wants everything to play out until the end, and we will understand everything going forward. Which brings me to some questions/concerns that DO NOT have to be answered if it leads to spoiling what you have planned and hell you can even ignore this entire message if you wish, I do have A LOT of suspicions and questions and I feel like people aren't asking the right questions instead of mentioning the multiple protagonist tag so much and here are some(Correct me if I'm wrong or misunderstanding something):
"What is the mc going to do with Sayuri being so close with king, how are we going to stop him from taking her or the others? (Every event he's in it seems like he will be one step ahead of us regardless of our advances and cheats -Sora getting beat up and saved by him-, The girls seem to have him as an INSTANT rebound if something goes wrong and he already has a deep bond with our childhood friend)"
"Why is the mc ignoring Misaki despite NOT wanting the ntr route, why focus on one route at a time when he's supposedly a "Player"(Couldn't he do more than one girl? why leave the rest in the background?) wouldn't that cause consequences like the ntr route? (I know the running gag is FUCK tsunderes but still lol)"
"Why does is seem like the girls have minds of their own? This may sound a bit dumb considering the games concept and theme of the meta and 4th wall breaking going on, but I mean the mc focuses on one girls route the others are actively doing something else(Like Sayuri meeting up with king near the end of chapter 2 to have a one on one discussion with him) or why would the girls go out of their way to appear in events of one specific girl the mc is focusing on to just end up ignored or pushed to the side or end up feeling jealous or hurt(If he's a completionist wouldn't he want to do all of the routes or start them all day 1?)"
"With upcoming episodes would they all connect to episode one? or would they be their own thing. Like a mini-series that ends in one episode or a chain of events that all come together"
I have some theories to that last question(The short stories ending in one episode or The chain of events coming together like puzzle pieces) about episode 1 ending and how episode 2 will play out, I feel like the MC during EP1 would acquire all the girls in the end from king but near the end king will realize he's in some game and then take them back once more with the help of the "God"(Another MC switch, with us playing as king) or we could just be transferred to another story of another loser unnamed mc that gets replaced by us and we do it all over again.
My final verdict, I like the game currently for now and Its theme and concept are pretty good, I'm just yapping and giving my personal opinions on the game and my suspicions/concerns will hopefully all be answered by the end of EP1 and that will decide if I keep playing it or drop it due to it not being to my liking or not (BUT THAT WOULDN'T MEAN THE GAME IS BAD, YOUR DOING GREAT KEEP IT UP, I would hate for it to end up abandoned for the people who will ACTUALLY like it in the future it's just me being a whiney lil baby on certain content I like and hate, my opinion shouldn't hold much relevance at all) and I'll let the developer cook and patiently wait to eat. This game is clearly liked by many people, it's got its charm, and I hope it continues to flourish and grow!

Here, I tried to portray him as someone who meticulously clears each route, one by one, and frowns upon getting side-tracked.
I won't answer the why, though
The focus will shift depending on the episode's protagonist, their goals, and their personal struggles. But even if each episode has its own timeline, that doesn't mean they exist in isolation.
And yes, you can expect everything to come together in the end.
Finally, thank you for the encouragement! But no worries, I'm not giving up on this project.
This is something I'm creating for myself before anyone else, and I'd still work on it even if no one played.
That said, having people follow and even support the project does give me a moral obligation not to slack off!

just wanted to say, the overview description already gave me a headache and after reading through your review, my poor brain is even more confused, if i may ask and id love if someone else(if dev then even better) also helped me a bit but what is this game about exactly? is it harem or single/multiple route or straight drama or straight ntr? i mean at this point im too scared and confused to give it even a try lol. i should say im not a complete ntr hater or harem lover but im just too concerned rn to give this a try. hopefully i conveyed what i wanted to say properly, if not then sorry in advance, english is not my 1st language.
