Just started. I've looked at reviews and saw people complain about ow tedious it was, but I wanted to try.
I am currently painting my room. After the first two clicks on the paint roller, too see it wanted me to keep going, and then do a second coat....
I have to admit, I haven't laughed this hard in DAYS.
What an unnecessary disaster this game's format is!
Who possibly thought that removing choices to tell a completely streamlined, linear story, because they think that branching paths is too much to manage and the alternative is just wrong choices that lead to a game over... and replace that type of game play that the author doesn't think "work well," and replace it with a linear story that will be agony to go through, as you have to trudge through the most inane and uninspired game play in VN history, would be a good idea?
Quadrant three of the room's ceiling. 12 clicks to do one coat. A click to get more paint. 12 more clicks for the second coat. Get more paint. 13 more clicks.
Get more paint. Move to last bit of ceiling.
Honestly. HONESTLY. What genius thought that clicking for each stroke of the paint roller, and doing the whole room, would be fun?
If you want to capture this, you get a looping animation that you don't have to click to advance, of the two frames used, for each section. Alternatively, you have us click 2, maybe 3 times, and it advances from there, instead of some 40-odd clicks per section. Trust me, we can fill in the gaps and understand that the ceiling wasn't ACTUALLY painted that quickly.
What possible person, anywhere in the world, including the creator themselves, would want to play this and not think the entire time "holy fuck, how could someone have had the patience to make this so tedious? This is ridiculous!"
