Absolutely agree. And the art they use isn't even that good - it is mid-tier generic anime aesthetic that plagued rule34 in late 2000s. I was delighted to see people moving from it and names like Personalami or Sabudenego rising at the top. It lacks originality, style and is just boring with characters looking the same.

Do not misunderstand me - I do appreciate good anime aesthetic. But what made Roundscape so good and unique was the variety of styles - anyone could find something to their liking. Funnies part - it was anime-styled pictures that dragged behind back then, less animesque were top of the line. And now they vent for more consistent anime-like pictures, yet many of those are lacking.

Lets compare Roundscape Adorevia to something that pops in my mind right now: Overgrown Genesis, Fate of Irnia, Noxian Nights (paired with Kingdom of Deception for good measure) and Legend of Queen Opala (all parts). Those games have varied approaches when it come to art style:
a) OG, FoI, NN and KoD sport overall high quality of pictures and are dedicated to single art style, making them very consistent with what they deliver, yet if this is not your cup of tea - you will miss the fun. Another point is that consistent artstyle demands more in terms of quality - if your game have consistently bad pictures it won't be a matter of tea-cups, people just won't enjoy it.
b) RA and LoQO have varied artstyles with something for everyone, its not a coin toss of either or, you are likely to find something to your liking. What RA and LoQO do differently, is quality-quantity approach - RA tend to have more quantity and LoQO more quality. Yet even if quality is all over the place, variety can still remedy that by rising chances that person playing the game will find something to like.

And basically RA now goes for more consistent approach, yet without the needed level of quality to make it work.

TL;DR: they are picking stick with two short ends. It, in my opinion, does not work.
I read the whole thing, but I don't really have a long answer in reply.
Just that, after a several years-long breaks, I was contemplating picking the game up again, only to get turned off by all the animesque looking artwork that seem to have also replaced some pre-existing scene's artwork that, in my opinion, was 10 times more exciting to look at than the animesque art that they got replaced by.
Because of the art style they are going with these days, I'm actually finding it extremely difficult to want to pick it up again, it just looks... boring, and quite frankly, some of the characters seem to look dull and even ruined compared to how hot, sexy, and good they looked in previous artworks.

I can but agree with you and add that some scenes were voted to be replaced, if my memory serves me correctly.

not at her house, there you discover where she works, and the first time ever you go to the tavern to see her you can have your party.
The first time talking to the mother is when you can choose how to deal with her, and in that scene is where Meredith gets her corruption. I double-checked the walkthrough. You must have Meredith and the Succubus or Meredith won't get the corruption.
I have just downloaded the game to check this - no, it does not work. You are alone when you enter mom's room and I checked Meri's corruption - it didn't change. I even tinkered with her corruption through Lankin's cheat mod, tried all possible dialogue options and it didn't work.

I wonder if people who made the walkthrough double-checked the actual game. Either there are additional conditions to trigger this morality change or it does not exist in the game anymore.

Because I remember that you were with party members at farm mom in older versions, but not in current.

Meredith's thing with the corruption is kind of strange the mechanics, is it supposed to start "pure"? And no matter how much I keep his corruption negative and even after declaring his "love" to you, she continues to fuck half the world hahahaha, I got off the game there, because no matter how much you want to take the path you want, more or less these scenes keep appearing, beware that I don't dislike these types of paths, but if I want to play in at least one style that is consistent, obviously for the corrupt path this must be a feast.

Other than the Void Knight class, is there anything you miss out on if you destroy the portal things in the mansion in Summeredge?

Also, does anyone know which switches determine which classes you have unlocked?
No answer to this yet? I absorbed the portals to see what I'd get and then destroyed them in another save which I'll continue playing in, but so far there don't seem to be any advantages to destroying them, absorbing them didn't even affect morality. And since apparently the void knight is bugged I'm thinking about just flicking the appropriate switch if I want to use it in the future...

From what I recall it just changes the outcome of the quest and the scenes you get after it.

If you destroy the portal: both genders can get a sex scene with the daughter (leave summeredge, enter the city again and you should find her wandering near the city's teleportation crystal, talk with her and then meet her in the mansion again). Male mc can get an extra scene with both the mom and the daughter (same steps as previous scenes but you meet the mom instead).

If you absorb the portals: both genders can watch the void mom fuck her son (short scene, check the bed in the mom's bedroom). Female mc can get a scene with the void father (check some tentacles in the southwestern part of the mansion's first floor).

Don't think it affects anything else, most side-quests in the game are self-contained and kind of just end without major repercussions even if the quest was about really exciting stuff.

Playing as a male mc I got to watch the father with his daughter (Agnes, was it?).
That happens regardless of if you absorb or destroy the void energy, as long as you lie to the siblings and tell them the basement is safe.

Hello everyone,
I'm a (relatively) new player that's playing through the latest version of the game. I've been reading through the guide that came with the game also and a few questions came up in my playthrough:

1) I'm a male Templar. I've rescued Beatrice from the demon realm and she's currently waiting in the chapel in my castle. I got a quest to cure her, talked to the succubus, gained the pure tears, but when I go back to Beatrice there is no option to turn in. It just cycles through the same 3 dialog choices.

2) I've been again looking at the guide to see what my endgame items/build is going to be. (I know, crazy in a porn game but it's how I like to play.) Anyway there was an item I wanted called "Enchanted Ring." The guide says it's a quest reward to turning in 15 Mysterious Shards to that lady. I did this, and the text came up "[Player] receives item: Enchanted Ring" but the ring is nowhere to be found in my inventory. I tried loading a few times with no luck.

3) Speaking of items, does anyone know off the top of their head how to get the following: Sacred Flail, Xalk'zhug, Oukurqux (the armor), Obsidian Boots, Staff of Regeneration, Kinomo, High Shaman's Totem, Blood Dagger, Hunter's Jacket, Forgotten Crown, Bone Necklace. I found these in the guide so I have no idea if they exist of not.

4) There a weird statue? inside the museum of Xas that I can interact with. When I do, the dialog is something like "You tried giving it something, nothing happens." There doesn't seem to be a quest associated with this. What is it?

I think that's it for now. Thank you all for any and all help!
2) I had it too. But for 15 shards she gave enchanced shield
