I don't get it. It's clearly popular but I just can't get over the first impressions...
You play with a kb, but then on character creation you need to use a mouse cuz the kb doesn't work? Every one of the first few cut scenes, actions like legacy descriptions etc in character creation drag suuuuuuuper slowly, and ofc can't be skipped. Stuff like a literal black screen or just the title text, with nothing going on, taking 30s of your time for no reason.
Speaking of legacy and that weird questionnaire, why make customizing your character as obnoxious as possible on purpose? No guides ofc, I'd have to restart and try until deciphering the answers myself, taking minutes watching all the unskippables every single time. So that's a no.
I'd keep playing if I was sure whatever was there was better than the first impressions but this is RPGM we're talking about. Massive grind, ultra slow progression, horrible user experience, and unskippable scenes (with stuff like holding z/enter leading to accidental automatic choices -> load game -> even more frustration & waste of time etc) are the norm. And so far everything makes it seem like this game definitely fits.
I'm sure it's just my ADD but I'm honestly starting to think I'm done with RPGM for good.
I don't want to just complain tho (sorry) but I was really looking forward to this and now I just can't imagine it'll get any better. I'm frustrated. :< Does it get better?
