so... bit of a weird question, is there a way to disable/remove gamepad support for this? i was going to play it in my spare time while playing another game, alt+tab'ing between the two as needed/desired, but seems when i try to play the other game (which i use a gamepad for) this game is picking up my inputs and doing all sorts of random crap...

Nobody knows yet, but most likely it will be the same stuff like with every other update - you'll download the whole thing.
So, I'd say you should get current version while you still can. If you want to compare, for example.

So far it felt like the damage control of arenus took most of their time and they are in general very silent about the gold patch.
Arenus was such a shame man so my hopes lies solely on the gold patch for roundscape for now.

Why'd they shit the bed with Arenus? Did not care at all about that game, tried it once, and it was too slow and grindy for too little reward.
Have they actually said that it'll be out on the 1st of July or is that just people making assumptions?

Basically they had actually interesting sounding ideas on paper but were poorly implemented because of bad design decisions. There was this one dude from the dev team that tried to do damage control here on F95 right after initial release but you can imagine how that went. Felt sorry for the dude at one point.
In between all the shitstorm there were genuine and good solutions/ideas to these problems but it seems they havent really been taken into consideration after all the time and they seem to be unable to iron out bugs. Also it felt like at one point that they didn't even want to ease/adjust the gameplay because that were intentional design choices from the main dev iirc.
Anyway I would have actually played through the game with mods/cheats because I liked the theme and general idea behind the game but the final nail in the coffin was after I discovered that every H scene you could get in the game is a carbon copy for any of the 3 girls you can choose from.
No variations, no differences, no extra scenes special to the girl you chose in the beginning. They made a scene and just replaced the girl in it and changed the flavour text a bit. So if you played through the game once you have literally seen everything the game has to offer. Rip the CGs for yourself and you will know what I mean. I literally laughed at the screen.
This completely destroys any possible replay value and redeeming feature the game could have had aside the slog of a gameplay and lets me question why there are 3 girls you can choose from in the begin with?!

Does anyone know what triggers the (M)player x Katelyn x Clawyn scene? I've been playing around with AP/**, but for some reason it just won't activate for me. It's supposed to be added in the v4.8 version in the castle ruins(?) assuming that this area is where you get the Mysterious Fragments Q.

I mean, the same can be said for this game. It has more flaws than good points, but no game has such huge scope and the amount of content. I know this game is ancient by adult game standards, and that it was mind blowing when it was first released, but even today people go easy on this game under the assumption that the bugs and unpolished design will be ironed out someday, but even after the main story was finished they kept tacking on more content instead of fixing the game. I really hope the golden patch actually adresses the bugs and clunky design. Do we really need more minotaur gangbangs and dog scenes when the game is borderline unplayable? Even the new cartoonish artstyle is ugly, but I digress. What frustrates me is that this game has so much potential, if the dev gave it some serious TLC it could easily be top 10 games on this site.

My problem with Arenus was more like .. it went basically like CP2077. Got delayed a shitton, when it was finally here it was kinda "Wait... thats it? What happened to [listing 1000 things that were said to be in the game]" I mean the game literally had 1 scene per fight and like 1-2 scenes for the player. On top of only having like... idk 10 scenes total? Many questlines / npcs felt like they were meant to have a deeper storyline, but in the end got scrapped for some reason.

Where does this come from? I mean - the game has tones of issues, issues for days, really. But in me experience all of them - and I mean ALL OF THEM - were just minor nuissance. Nothing to make came "borderline unplayable".
By far my biggest gripe was with quest log no longer updating somewhere in ActII, but it did little but annoy me. Its not that hard to keep track of quests on your own, or use guidebook when you forget something.
Annoying? Yes! Gamebreaking? NO!
What does "borderline unplayable" even mean to you? I certainly can't connect this line of yours with this game.
