Another bug update: Quest log still gets completely fucked after the tower in act 2. Dragon egg is still missing from the protagonist's room. (im guessing its supposed to be in the same spot as your puppies, but the wolf that can impregnate you is so far before the dragon that Im not really sure how you'd ever get knocked up by the dragon first.)

Sometimes I am puzzled to no end by devs' logic. Precipice of Act II, one step from the final battle and destruction of Murkhal.

Lone oldman who summoned Murkhal into existence ages ago. Who caused this whole crysis by this single deed. Who was forced to watch as his people and family were slaughtered by newlymade deity. Who was cursed to roam the wasteland evermore, with grief, regret and despair as his only companions.

And I decide to end him. To punish the man behind the slaughter. To put him out of his unthinkable misery.

In what world of clowns and brainworms is this considered an immoral action? What kind of alien logic is this? Its not just some old guy - its the reason all of it happened, someone with unquantifiable amount of corpses on his consciousness, someone who suffered immensely and would've been suffering evermore.

Why the game treat this situation as Hero killing an innocent, full of life person?

But yeah, this game is a disaster as a game in just about any aspect. The turn-based gameplay, the pacing, the characters, the writing, it's all awful. It's like babby's first RPGMaker project, except there's porn slapped into it.

Some of the power changes/nerfs really just drag down the pace of the game. They should’ve focused on buying a pasta fork to deal with that spaghetti code.

try out ranger it’s by far the most OP class and available right from the start after you do little side quest, you can one-shot anything.

Awful is wrong word for some aspects of this game, too strong of a word.

Gameplay isn't that bad in itself - its the balance devs fucked up beyond recognition that makes fights either a chore or a cakewalk. It was infinitely better and even really engaging in older versions, but it seems the more devs try to make it more elaborate, the worse it works. The core concept is workable, however, just in dire need of tunning.

Characters are a mixed bag, from talking slabs of stone like Gajah to Meredith or Katelyn, who has genuine character arcs throughout the game. There are also a couple of at least passable characters like Succubus or Mayla. The greatest issue by far is that there are some 100 (I think?) named characters, of whom a good dozen are party members. No way to give good characterization for all of them, its not Silmarillion.

Writing is mixed as well.
The main quest is mediocre at worst - heck, its almost a cookie-cutter fantasy plot about fighting Big Bad Evil Guy and his army of Small Bad Evil Goons, sprinkled with a local flavor. Its generic, but to be awful it must be much worse than just generic.
As for the writing of smaller quests - yeah, its not only generic in most cases, its also very bare bone in almost every case. The point of most of those quests is to set a quick prelude for a fuck-scene, so most of them do not evolve past being a prelude. And so there are only few interesting enough quests, most of which are companion quests that are by their very nature supposed to be deeper than the most.


What you can conclude from all of this, is that this game goes for volume before depth, for quantity over quality.

Is it bad? I would say a suprising thing - no, it isn't. Its game's actual strong suit, and the reason why I am still playing it despite all the issues with it and despite my harsh critique. This game has basically everything you would want, given you are willing to rummage through other content - and I am. You don't have to play several separate games to indulge in whatever fantasy you fancy at the moment - you can play through one.

Roundscape Adorevia is an all you can eat buffet - and it is so on purpose. Its not a mistake on devs' part - this is the game they've aimed for from the get-go, proven by the fact the game was always like this, from its earliest versions.

If what you want is a fancy restaraunt that has less, but with richer flavor - you are knocking on a wrong door, mate. This is a game about everything and nothing in particular - take from this fact what you want, but it is neither good, nor bad. Its just how this game is meant to be, and it is what it does the best.


And this is why my gripe with it are about polishing and never about content. Game's direction is exactly what I want, its game's quality as it stands now that makes me mad.

good afternoon my fellow men. I just reached Slinks, the new combat system is crap and make the battle stupidly hard. Anyone who already plays farther than me, is there another gypsy who sell agi/def/matk stat? the gypsy in starting city only sell hp/mp/atk.

Not to mention now every weapons have very low atk power, i cant understand why the devs making game this way. If they gonna remove stat growth from leveling up, at least let weapons have their normal atk power.

I don't think didn't come across any and the items she sells didn't change for me with acts.

Items I was also mainly getting either HP / Attack boost.

There's a way to make game easy you just need to invest 1 or 2 levels in lockpicking and grab Cass staff in oakshire which imo may be even the best staff in the game.
