It's little joke on this tread. The last patch was called the Gold patch so every new patch is called something like Iridium.
Going through the gallery folder it seems like they replaced a lot of the AI pictures with the original ones.
Some AI images remain, like the first encounter with the tentacle monster as FMC, but aside of being AI generated, that one at least doesn't have any obvious nightmare fuels in it. The pictures where the only change was a rescaling to wide screen like the minotaur foursome in the arena seem to have stayed. Quite a few pictures apparently even went back to the old 4:3 aspect ratio instead of the AI version, tho at least Meredith sleeping image has been upscaled now when it wasn't before.
tl;dr: unless i'm mistaken a lot of the botched AI pictures were reverted to the originals. About 10-15 AI scenes still remain, but those are the ones that ended up looking better.
So if you are against AI as a principle, then the patch in the OP is still required for you, but if you just don't like the abysmal quality of AI, then the change is definitely to the better.

No developer mentioned that this image was part of the plan but got abandoned.
First golden patch, then I got the idea of calling the next update of platinum patch, Esmeralda patch ECT to this

Yes this scene/idea was abandoned for 'farm mother. But instead Meredith get this scene.

I was wrong before, it is scene with Meredith, MC and Kerrek Minotaur.
After all quest in Emmek Rest, NW from crystal and left from Warhall (Cityhall) is Kerrek. Talk to him, and Meredith will have sex with Kerrek. Later he will come to your castle and have sex again with MC and pregnant Meredith.
Does anyone have a save for these scenes by any chance? I've never gotten that far with a male MC

Here you have save for meredith scene but for first scene in Emek. To get second, play first and return to Castle. sleep for few days check on Meredith and she will eventually tell you that she got letter form Kerrek. And he will visit your castle, later I think talk to them and invite to your room? or just find them there.

In general:
Male has more scenes than Female with the ladies.
While Female has more scenes than Males has with dudes.
Most of the companions you'll encounter are Females btw.
However, in terms of Origin: Noble, Farmer and Templar are more popular with scenes...I can't talk about the rest since I didn't play them yet.
Another answer: Idk just go for whoever you wanna start with and enjoy exploring the game.
