Are you in the US like Sancho? In the EU everyone has 4 weeks paid vacation. I'm honestly shocked at how little US companies care about their employees health and well being.
Why yes, fortunately/unfortunately I am. 4-weeks paid vacation sounds wonderful...but I still imagine that people spread that out and rarely take it all at once, right? Especially if they are high-profile modders that will have a huge backlog of updates awaiting them upon their return...

EDIT: And at this point I think more than a few people out there have raised their alert level to DEFCON 2. Is somethin going on with modders now too??

We've seen an unprecedented number of games abandoned (officially or not) this year following a sytematic campaign of intimidation from subscriber services and local/regional legal pressure. So when one prominent modder (LD) disappears off the face of the Earth a couple months ago that was odd enough. But now with another going radio-silent for over a month...is this a red flag that something is going on BTS or is it really just a coincidentally-timed vacation?? Paging Agent Mulder...

Vacation time various significantly of course in the US, but you only hear the horror stories.

I far from typical, but my vacation time is substantial. I get 4 weeks paid vacation (20) plus 8 federal holidays. Plus the day after Thanksgiving (1) plus Xmas Eve (1) plus the week between Xmas and New Years (5), so 35 days.

Pretty sure Sancho lives in Texas. If he was in the path of that nasty hurricane, his ability to mod might be compromised.

That may be a more recent factor, but his only mod update since mid-June was on June 24th, and he last logged in here on 6/27, so nothing updated in well over a month.

Do you think he will magically appear and updates his Mods like nothing has happend ? No one knows what his actual Situation currently is. My thoughts are with him and hope he's well.

I believe the hurricane made landfall in Texas on the 28th. Who knows what damage it may have done. Sancho's real life is much more important than the mods he makes. I hope all is well...

OK, fair enough. I didn't bother to search the timing of the storm because it felt more recent than that, but instead it does line up well with his absence. My mistake.

Given that Sancho has been MIA for almost a full two months now, other modders have started to make alternative mods or updated mods (this has also been going on for another modder who recently took an early retirement).

Personally, I've started making my own mod for this game, but to begin with, it will only have a walkthrough/choice guide. I'll get back to a cheat function later (changing previous choices).

I originally thought to update Sancho's mod directly, but given the copy protections Sancho has implemented in all of his mods (to prevent other modders from stealing or modifying his code), that could turn out be a bit hopeless. Essentially, a modder is better off starting from scratch.
