Try changing it to Option 1. Also, uncomment means to remove the // at the start of the line, comment means to add // at the start of the line.

I did that, turns out the error needed a newer ruby version. I'm up to Ruby 2.5 now and I'm getting a new error

I've read and followed everything on the page, including changing the options in the script.

The fix that Deserve-And-Enjoy put up worked for me and now I'm starting the translation for my first game that I've wanted to get translated for a long time. UNFORTUNATELY, I may have gotten a bit in over my head, it's been several hours and it's not even close to being done. Apparently there's 254490 lines to be translated, and its only done 71000 so far. Well, guess I'm leaving my computer on overnight, oh well. Still, good work! Can't wait to see how well it works!

okay, ran into a problem. Get to a certain point, basically a few minutes into the game switching screens, probably to a map, and I get an error: Script 'Game_Interpreter' line 1409: Syntax Error occured. unexpected $end

Anyone know how to get around this/fix this? Thanks!

Hi. I've been having this error for a couple of days now and I can't figure it out myself. I've done everything mentioned on page 3 and 4 and it still gives me this error(see below). If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it.

  3. click publish then deploy as web app, give the script whatever name and description you want, set "Execute the app as:" to me and "Who has access to the app:" to anyone, even anonymous then deploy
  4. authorize the script then copy the "Current web app URL"
  5. download my

    file
  6. replace the original "auto_translate.rb" with the new one
  7. open up the new "auto_translate.rb" file with notepad++ (
    You must be registered to see the links
    )
  8. ctrl+F and search YOUR_WEB_APP_HERE
  9. replace "YOUR_WEB_APP_HERE" with the link you copied to the web app
  10. done

Would there be any translator API's anyone would suggest that are free? I'm finding the current one is not doing so hot of a job of translating Japanese.

Hi

I don't know why I'm stucked in this part of the process (see the image)

I press [TRANSLATE]. Then nothing happens. Just appear many words in the cache box and I have the option to [ABORT]

I miss that bar below filling Green, you know? But nothing happens. This is frustrating. I copied that text from

Ok ok, now it seems the bar is becoming green. That should be good news.

But you see they say "translation API failed for [xxxxxxxxx] with message 765 unexpected token at"
