Man, some of those renders look really good and then others look pretty awful. How does that happen?

Not that it matters but I was curious to click on this game when I saw the MC is he supposed to be black or brown skin? I can't help but check out games with non white MCs because I don't see them as much as games with white MCs. Alot of the time the race doesn't matter too much but after playing several AVN games since '18 I've noticed that most MC just look a certain way. Regardless I agree with the other posts that the guy looks bit unattractive and part of me doesn't want to give asf because I'm not here to watch him but the other half kinda does only it because I want him to match the aesthetic of the female characters. Curious to know if you would be willing to compromise with a preset list of default skins for the MC or possibly keep an open mind to have a rework done?

P.S. I never typed/yapped this much before on here but yeah your game definitely pulled my interest so at least you're doing something right lol

I wasn't expecting this type of push back on the MC. To me he just looks like a normal dude who's not even close to ugly bastard territory. That's why all of the work went into the women. I wanted people to focus on that.

Default skins are out of the question due to workload and everyone's opinion on this will be different, so I'm not sure about a rework.

We'll see what happens.

Oh wow. I haven't play the game yet, but just looking at the pictures here, it's not everyday where I see a game that takes its space sci-fi setting more seriously. Everyone is wearing the same looking uniforms, space actually looks dark, and the place has that NASA punk look. Looks great!

Your MC is fine and imo fits perfectly in the lore. You tell us he's quite old, is used to cryo-sleep which can sometimes fuck up the bodies (priapism, vitiligo-like kind of stuff, Tia tired etc) so the carpet matching the drapes is logical. It's more immersive than a shiny 20 y/o that glimmers in the light with a 40 y/o beard on a 15 y/o body with a millenial haircut.

That said, you'll probably get shit whatever you decide to do, so just own it, one way or the other.

Apart from that, great start, renders are crazy good even if the blurry stuff is...blurry (shadowy thing), story feels good and also curious to see if choices made will have more "serious" consequences as is maybe implied by the Doc.

I think a big part of it is his haircut and facial hair, for me anyway. Best way to put it is if I was creating a custom character in a game and this guy was a preset, those would be what I swap around first.

The mechanical background hum really fits in this. It feels kind of like a 2001 or original Alien vibe to the ship. Meshes really good with the external view cinematics. The transitions feel a little weird and abrupt sometimes. Like, why transition away from the two minutes before the meeting action? This isn't a mainstream movie but an Adult Visual Novel.

The transitions are experimental and I wasn't 100% happy with their placement, but the idea is closer to a tv show than a traditional AVN. I designed it like that from the beginning.

Appreciate the nod to the sound design.
