It seems that Sandboxie cannot process the command line correctly.
How do you launch it, through the menu or through a forced folder? You can try setting the forced folder to ‘E:\H Game E\’ and try launching it.

By the way, the problem may be that the path to the file is too long. Try moving it to a shorter path without spaces.

Newbie question: Should I download the games while using Sandboxie? or is that not safe?
Yes and no.

On the one hand, a running browser stores a lot of sensitive information in its memory and cache, which can be stolen by viruses (sandboxes generally do not protect against this), so it is generally not safe.

But on the other hand, the virus will not be able to transmit information (unless you have blocked Internet access in the sandbox), and there are ways to significantly restrict access to sensitive information using sandbox settings (link to the message is in the OP). So the risk is quite small.

It's up to you to decide whether you are willing to take the risk or want to play it safe.

You can download and store any file on your PC it won't do anything unless you "run" it in some way, be it running the downloaded executable, or letting another program read the file and do something with it (common example would be placing an .rpy file in RenPy game folder and running RenPy game)

If you already use an alternate user other than your administrator account do you still need to enable: only administrator accounts can make changes?

What do you mean by ‘terminate Sandboxie’? And it is impossible to move the entire computer into a sandbox (as far as I know).
Sandboxie has its own where you can ask questions about how it works if you encounter any problems.

Have you tried rebooting your PC? If for some reason you managed to break the sandbox service, it usually works after rebooting.

i want to know if i can limit the sandbox to only some parts of my hard drive, because now files will just open under sandboxie automatically (chrome, or like if i just want to open an image), and if i close sandboxie in task manager it will give an error

also for some reason i cant open some images on my computer (see error below)

It seems that you have set a forced folder for your entire drive/drives. Go here

and disable everything you don't need, leaving only the folder where your games are located.

Closing the application in the system tray does not close the sandbox (it is a separate service), only the graphical management interface.

By the way, you can temporarily disable all forced folders for the sandbox in the presets menu.

my forced folders only have the folder where locale emulator is in, as well as the folder for the games

doesn't ending the manager and sandboxie service in task manager completely close sandboxie?

Then it's unclear why you're having problems. Maybe all your applications are running through LM? Have you tried disabling forced folders?

The only correct way to completely stop Sandboxie is to stop the service via the GUI

If you still have problems accessing your files after this, the problem is most likely not in the sandbox.

In general, I have no connection to the development of Sandboxie Plus, so I cannot consult on problems. I have already told you everything I know. Try asking on the application forum (I gave you the link).

disabling the locale emulator forced folder just makes this error appear for the files that i needed locale emulator to run (see attached)

I'm having trouble running some Unity games (Kunoichi Sekiren, ThornSin and With a Bewitching Girl) with Sandboxie, the games simply crash after when starting

Hello, I am new to Sandboxie, and I have a few questions about file recovery. As shown in the screenshots, after I close the game (Desert Stalker), a window pops up like the one in the pictures. Each time, I recover all the files. Is that the correct thing to do? Also, I noticed that other files, such as NVIDIA-related ones, appear there as well—is that normal? Additionally, it always says 'there are 2 files and 26...' under the blue line, but whether I click 'show all files' or not, nothing else appears. Is this normal, or is there something I need to do about it?
For Renpy games, it is sufficient to restore only AppData\Roaming\RenPy\ - this is where the saves are located. Everything else is just files related to the operation of various systems and programmes, such as the shader cache for the NVIDIA driver. It is not necessary to restore all of this (and it is not even advisable - you may let a virus into your host system).
Some files remain even after everything has been restored. These are files and folders in which Sandboxie stores the modified registry and IPC, which is why they are not displayed as files. They will be deleted when you click Delete Content.

Second, I checked the sandbox on my disk, but when I open it, there is nothing inside. Is that how it is supposed to be, or will it contain some save data or file in the future when I actually use it to play games?
After cleaning the sandbox (when you close the game), all files remaining in it are deleted (files that you have restored are moved to their original location and deleted from the sandbox), so it is normal that there is nothing in this folder. Try looking in it when the game is running in the sandbox.

Lastly, regarding the folders scanned for file recovery—where would my RPGM save files or save data be located? I can’t find them the way I can find my Ren’Py game data.
RPGM games save either to AppData\Local\ or to the folder where the game itself is located.
