On a long way, maybe, but, looking how is politics of that type is done in world around MC, Roman lose far more on this way, than a bunch of subordinates or personal freedom.
I do not mind having a toll to pay for this route. I do agree with you about losing your subordinates in this route. The freedom is a bit more complicated as I wished for Roman to overcome her himself not by becoming a subordinate of opposing faction (I believe that is what you imply). For me the absence of this route is a turn off because by not having it lowers significance of other routes. It would highlight how pride destroys your surroundings and in the end it would highlight that you achieved nothing but petty revenge. Yk it would be interesting to experience such route along all others.

Promote to who?
It was a semile. I acknowledged we are pawns at the start of the story. But we never really able to go past being pawns compared to chess where by reaching the end pawns can promote

We were developing a very different kind of game when we parted ways, one that was intended to give more control to the player in how things shake out. I have some ideas if I do decide to return to the industry, and it would probably be in the same general direction. Nothing is currently in the works though.
I don't know what your particular part in this game was, but it's a fantastic game and I hope you do decide to do more. I played it a couple years ago and was just thinking of it recently as I'm on a fantasy-games kick, so I decided to pop in to see if the developers had anything else. It's goofy to me that people are in here complaining about how you can't get a perfect-all-achievements run or whatever. Shades of gray and meaningful choice are a whole lot more interesting.
