Progress and general update
Hello together,
long time no see here on Patreon.
First of all: I hope you all had nice holiday with your loved ones and had a good start to the new year
I'm happy that so many people have stayed here and that many new ones have joined as free members during this time as well. It's nice to see that people are still discovering the game.
People who read the giantesscity forum on occasion will already know what the current status about SAO is. From time to time I gave updates or answered questions there.
Over the last year I have continued to work on the game quite irregularly at best. Due to work and everyday life, you know that stuff. Most of the time I only did CG. That was something I could jump into, right away for an hour or so. I already have quite a few (1000+). Whether I use all of them or leave out some parts remains to be seen. To decide, I have to see what they look like later in the game itself. Story-wise, I've reached a point where I would be somewhat happy with, let's say, a cut for part 3. However, somehow not. It seems very small in terms of content, as there are only a few gameplay passages so far. It's just a lot of CG
Some gameplay would come in now if I continued where I stopped. In combination with another lot of CG that would need to be done for that as well.
Since I'm very busy at work with no vacation in sight, I won't really get to the actual game development. Of course, I'll continue making CGs as long as that's the case. Maybe I'll get to the point where I'll move the cut for part 3 to a later time in the story anyway.
It's possible that a time will come later this year when I'll be able to invest in the game again almost full-time. For a longer, but not infinitely long, period, of course. I'll leave it open why. However, I can't promise that, anything is possible at the moment.
So that's it for now. Also my patreon will continue to be on hold until the time has come.
I'll leave some pictures here for you all as a late christmas gift (spoiler of course)
