Is it just me or is the cat girl in chapter 2 unreasonably strong and really hard.

Guys the author just said that he is still working on this game, it's on hold due to real life issues he has, but at some point he will return with chapter 3. He also said that he has plenty of renders prepared too. Some good news.

Progress and general update

Hello together,

long time no see here on Patreon.

First of all: I hope you all had nice holiday with your loved ones and had a good start to the new year :)

I'm happy that so many people have stayed here and that many new ones have joined as free members during this time as well. It's nice to see that people are still discovering the game.
People who read the giantesscity forum on occasion will already know what the current status about SAO is. From time to time I gave updates or answered questions there.

Over the last year I have continued to work on the game quite irregularly at best. Due to work and everyday life, you know that stuff. Most of the time I only did CG. That was something I could jump into, right away for an hour or so. I already have quite a few (1000+). Whether I use all of them or leave out some parts remains to be seen. To decide, I have to see what they look like later in the game itself. Story-wise, I've reached a point where I would be somewhat happy with, let's say, a cut for part 3. However, somehow not. It seems very small in terms of content, as there are only a few gameplay passages so far. It's just a lot of CG :D
Some gameplay would come in now if I continued where I stopped. In combination with another lot of CG that would need to be done for that as well.

Since I'm very busy at work with no vacation in sight, I won't really get to the actual game development. Of course, I'll continue making CGs as long as that's the case. Maybe I'll get to the point where I'll move the cut for part 3 to a later time in the story anyway.

It's possible that a time will come later this year when I'll be able to invest in the game again almost full-time. For a longer, but not infinitely long, period, of course. I'll leave it open why. However, I can't promise that, anything is possible at the moment.

So that's it for now. Also my patreon will continue to be on hold until the time has come.

I'll leave some pictures here for you all as a late christmas gift (spoiler of course) :)

It seems interesting at first but in the end I didn't liked it.

even if the dialogues are nice and the story isn't bad at all I found it predictable
yes, the game have a lot of grinding and...

It could have been way better

the opposite faction too will be boring to play without a great idea and yet it seems way, WAY better than what I played

Everything you described fits perfectly with the plot of this game, besides, this game now does not require as much grinding as in version 0.1

Hi everyone!

First off, an apology to anyone I may have gotten excited with this post. Sadly, there’s still no release for the next part. This is just an update for version 0.2 and a bit of bonus content that I’ve had lying around for a while.

Here’s a quick overview of what the new version includes:

  • Added an option to skip the grind section at the start of Chapter 2 (talk to the sign)
  • Added a way out for players who got stuck in the Fiona Loop event later in Chapter 2 (outside Fiona’s room you’ll find a familiar fairy who will help you out)
  • Added 3 scenes/options leading to scenes in Chapter 1
  • Overhauled some stuff
  • Retconned some story >:D
There’s also still a lot in part 1 & 2 that I would like to polish and/or rework, but I decided to release it as it is now anyway, as a small early Christmas gift. Most of it is honestly just a ton of tedious, time consuming work, so I think I’ll keep handling it the same way going forward, I’ll mainly work on polishing whenever I run into creative blocks and can't progress on the main story.

I’m not sure whether your old save files will work with this update, since a number of updates have been made in the meantime. As always, please report any bugs you run into after updating. I’ll do my best to eliminate them soon.

Progress on Part 3 is still mostly unchanged. I'm making progress, but slowly. No estimated release date.

I also wanted to use this opportunity to wish everyone here, wherever you are in this world, happy holidays and a great start to the new year. I hope you are all doing well.
