what is the point of the game, like i have been taking pictures for like an 1h and barely upgraded the girls affection or whatever the bar name is

This is like the first game on this site that has ever tried to install something into 1 of my game launchers...and GOG of all things...or accept a EULA...I'm going to pass for now

the very first version and trailer of the game were very cool, why did you abandon this idea in favor of furries, as for me, fucking monsters like Pokemon looked very cool
Kinda have to agree. Too much furry. Ever single one is 100% furry/scaly.
Would be nice to have less furry monstergirls too.
Would also be nice to have predators among every speices.

That said, it is shaping up nicely.

I did notice that sometimes I cannot leave the cammera view after taking a photo, the game gets stuck so I have to go back to the main manu. But I haven't been able to consistently reproduce it. It happened 3-4 times i na row, then it didn't happen again. Weird.

First version? Do you mean the on-rails thing? Lots of reasons. As you get deeper into the island you will start to see a lot more mystical, supernatural, and Pokemon-like monster girls. There are story elements for it as well.

We only have 9 of the total 40-50ish mons in the game right now. Expect more unique designs as we get into other biomes. Every species can become a predator if they get spored (working in the internal build atm)

How so? We are working on one biome at a time. 9 creatures per biome. A lot of the mons will have general ai with some unique things thrown in. If anything adding content will be very simple now that we have done a majority of the leg work for systems and ai. There is a few hurdles left like large mons and small mons fuggin as that is just an issue we will need to somehow address. But that's either more animations (very likely) or a magical programming problem.

Oh yes I already saw the challenge of the size difference. The current version for example changes/enlarges the bee model to work with specific positions which at first looked uncanny.

Your game is ATM definitely on my "keep an eye on, might buy" list.

I do hope we will have at least 1-2 more human-looking monstergirl (human face, no snouts, no digitgrade legs).
Aside from that my only real negative is the girl MC model (seems you are using the same skeleton to simplify animations? As a fellow gamedev I can understand that, tough it does make you femmc manni-sh looking.)

Also some facial animation reactions on the MC themselves. Might be tied to how many timesthey did it with the monstergril or current lust or something. From distress and panic first time MC gets raped to total acceptance later.

Using IK to solve size issue difference is a good approach, even tough the inner joints (elbows) tends to spazz out with IK. I am looking into it myself. Too bad it requires a bone chain, since the main point you'd want ot move around would propbably be the pelvis. Can't do that with IK, you'd have ot go around another way.

We are going to rebuild the models again to include like 40ish attachment points for hands and dongs. This will save doing the dynamic math we do to make ik hit model points correctly. Basically Sapphire models are all the same skeleton so animations work across the board, but the meshes are different so the spots are all different. We tried to do a dynamic resizing of it all but if there is a blade of grass or an ear, maybe come, between the blaster and the mesh its looking for it wigs out.

We won't be doing human looking monsters, the core of this is animals evolving overtime to become these creatures because of maguffins. The more time they spend with the maguffin the more monsterious or supernatural the species become.

Jamie (female MC) has her own locomotions and skeleton/mesh but some of the animations like crouch walking she shares with Oscar (male MC). They are different, maybe not too much. They both need to have similar speeds and locomotion to not make things more difficult for us.

Facial shapekeys have not been applied to general animations yet. Which is why everyone has a case of resting bitch face. The models are there, and everything has been designed to be expressive but yeah. We are dealing with other things first, and a bigger issue is that some girls roll their eyes too much so they look kinda haunted when their pupils roll too far back.

eh, I just don't want everyone to look the same lol. narrative or not.
