Yes, they're the same characters. This is a direct continuation of the story, picking up moments after the end of the first one and immediately jumping into a several-year time jump to avoid Rule 7 concerns. The preview images are mostly from the first couple releases, which didn't have the titular Sara in it yet (the daughter you're referring to). The last few previews, and the banner image, do have her in them, and the only guy in all the previews is the father from the first game.

I took a look at the screenshots of the game. The daughter looks very different from the first game. Visually I liked the model from the first one better.

purple haired girl is not the daughter. The daughter really only lost most of her babyface and some other minor stuff imo she looks mostly the same.

If you're talking about the girl with piercings, she is not Sara. She is the sister of a nurse who is helping the MC recover from a coma while he tries to find Sara.

mmm, I would love to see the main character walk in with this black guy and his daughter is lying in bed blindfolded and we're waiting for his surprise and he's busy in the garage and the black guy just happens to walk in and sees her naked and blindfolded and tempted. Well, you know what happens next. I would love to see something like that.
