Everything I read here is crap and everyone writes what they want, except the truth.
You write things that aren't true and the sheep rewrite them without even checking.
Welcome to the world of fake news, where sheep followers are king.

Write all the crap you want, it's off to a good start.
Personally, I've got nothing more to do here, discussion is impossible !

OK. Real discussion time:
1- I am new here, and didn't play the original game.
2- I actually came to the thread to find out why the original game was actually abandoned. And since the dev is here, I ask you, the dev, instead of listening to the other comments. Why was the original game abandoned?
3- When the original game was unfinished, you can't logically have "sequel", because we never got the end of the original story, due to it being unfinished. "Sequel" is usually used to refer to a continuation of the 1st part of the story.
To me, it would just be better to actually "reboot" the original story, transport all of the original story into the new version/engine, and once the new version is caught up to the original version, continue the story.
4- You say these comments are not true, and they're fake news. So, all I see in the comments are that the original was abandoned and you're creating a sequel to the original abandoned game. When I went to check, the original game indeed has the abandoned tag, and this thread is indeed titled with the word "sequel." So...what about that isn't true?

Not writing crap...this is serious, and logical discussion time. I am here to learn, so that I may make a logically based decision as to whether it is worth my time to hang around. :)

A 1-star review from cvat420
Technical Demo..so in other words just a slideshow, with no plot or story. Needs a plot to even declare a protagonist or any content for that matter. Lacking all of that this is nothing more than a point and click slideshow.

Warning: this is a very early technical Demo; no Scenes yet.

Another member with no clue and no understanding of a review.
:( You were warned and even said it in your puke-view, so why the 1 star?

cvat420 are upset because it is not 2GB and fap-tastic? Grown up.
Yep and i was about to post about that review , thx  Also can't wait to see this going further .... :p

The Original game isn't abandoned. He gives regular updates about it in his discord, and on Patreon. Iirc the next update to the OG game will be the last, and he's simply attempting to get feed back with a small tech demo for the sequel. He works on multiple projects at once, and updates fans about his inc pipeline, and is always responsive on his Discord. Personally I don't play RPGM games, so I'd much rather he switch to Renpy. So I hope he gets the feedback he's looking for instead of the same "OG game is abandoned" comment 700 times, when it's not.

It seems to be only a misunderstanding. Apparently you intended to switch from RPGM to Ren'Py and you wanted to test the Ren'Py version before continuing. As FookU2 pointed out, the word "sequel" is misleading in that case, and it should be changed. It wouldn't be the first time that a developper switches from an engine to another in the middle of a game and it shouldn't be an big issue.

Which game engine you use is up to you. I don't care which you use because I know the game will be well done. I am of course waiting for the original to be completed. It is good to know a sequel is in the works.

I like his games but I avoid playing them because they are made in RPG Maker, yes this engine does have more options to play but it is an outdated and slow engine, most games are slow in terms of character movements, map transitions, scene transitions, slow and time-consuming dialogues, and it is not possible to skip the dialogues. The only one that can work well with the RPG Maker Engine in my opinion is NLT Midia his game is fluid, the dialogues are fast, the transitions of maps and scenes are quick. For me, DDfunlol should switch to Renpy, his games are so good and fun, but I don't like playing them on RPG Maker, I hope he switches to Renpy, the games will be much better.
I'm not saying that NLT Media is better than DDFunlol, but NLT Media can work better with the RPG Maker engine. For me, DDFunlol would do very well on Renpy, too bad that from what I've seen, it doesn't want to continue on Renpy. Yes, change is difficult, especially for long-time supporters, but if he doesn't test it, he won't know if it will work and supporters won't know if it will get better or not. He should test it by making a game using this engine to see if the public would like it, there are several creators who left RPG Maker and went to Renpy and they are doing very well, yes they must have had a lot of resistance at the beginning but they managed to attract a bigger audience, However it's a shame that some started to relax after feeling comfortable with the money they earn, and supporters continued to support even after 1 or 2 years without any updates, they saw that they could make a profit without making any effort as people would support them anyway.

The original game had potential. Small bugs, but a interesting story so far. Always wished to have a good end. Thanks !
The first game basically ended with her becoming a slut/whore in one night "just because". I agree it had potential, the dev seems to favor the slut wife games now, so anyone who wanted more of a sharing/swinging game, yeah not going to happen I suspect. The main female MC will likely fuck any and all dick she can find, even if she supposedly was against the concept of a sex club, and expected her husband to be loyal, all while selling herself and fucking the husband enemies all on purpose.

He's already swapped to Renpy a long time ago. The Motel was built from scratch in Renpy as a learning experience. No idea where things have gone for the past year tho, when it became obvious all the female characters cheated and fucked everything that moves (unlike other game from the same dev like "Jeffs father") i dropped Patreon.

He just say he will be back to the RPGM instead making RenPy which for me and some others is better since in RPGM games you have more actions and stuff that you can do instead just reading story like in some comics/novel and from time to time making some choices like it's in almost all RenPy games! In RPGM you can move the character to different locations, traveling and using maps, opening hidden stuff, using portals, doing side quests(in most rpgm there are such quests),putting equioment or other stuff.... In RenPy all that action and moving around is gone - you only can have a option to do some choice like for example: "use the portal to go to the dimension", "don't use the portal and try to find some help" or "put the revealing mini skirt" , "put a casual skirt"...but that's all,you just do some choice and are not moving the MC around! That's why I am from this that preffer RPGM than RenPy! Of course there are also some good RenPy games - I am not saying that RenPy are bad,I am just saying what i preffer and why I preffer it but that doesn't mean I am not playing and enjoying some RenPy games too!
Umm, why would you want to do ANY of that in a PORN game? Umm, the point of a porn game is not fo play an action RPG but to see sex scenes, navigate one handed (which RPGM doesn't really allow) and move the story along.

I don't know if you know it,but there are some pretty good RPGM games that aren't like you are saying: slow engine, slow terms of character movements, map transitions, slow dialogue and everything else... Here are some examples: "Manilla Shaw:Blackmail's Obsession";"Chronicles of Leridia"; " Anna Exciting Affection" (chaper 1 - chapter 2 is now SandBox,not the usual RenPy); "Living with Mia" (again Act1 to Act 3 before they switch and make it RenPy); "The Office Wife"; "Officer Chloe Operation Infiltration"; "Fragile Innocence"; "Elena's Life"(that one is finished); "Downfall A Story of Corruption"; "Lisa"; "Angelica Origins Remake"; even "Defenstration" and some more... Of course there are also some that have more bugs like: "A New Dawn"; Lida's Adventure"; "The Chant of Dead": "Cursed" but that depends of how good work the developer do his game and i gues what programs he is using to make it good, and of course let's not forget that some developers have also other people that support and help them with making the game better(i'm not talking about subscribers at his patreon page but about people with who the developer work to create the game and they help him with language, graphics and other stuff) since sometimes it's too much work for only one guy to make a game so good! But every type of game and other stuff can be done good or bad,not only the RPGM ones - there are also some RenPy games that aren't so good and other that are pretty good, just like the Unity games or Sandbox games too...!

PS: SandBox games are also RenPy but not the usual RenPy - for example: Anna Exciting Affection chapter 2 and Fashion Business are Sndbox games but Good Girl Gone Bad; Succubus Contract;Victoria in Big City; The Office; Lust Campus and some more aren't SandBox but a normal RenPy ones! Most of the time SandBox are made better then the normal RenPy but like i already said it before - it's all about how good work the developer did to his game, which means every type of game can be done good or bad! :)

Because I'm not a lazy one and I like actions more - and if you don't know there are also porn games simulators in which you are once again moving around and they make it more real - of course RPGM are not simulators but they are pretty good ones to me because like i said it,i can move my character around like in most of the normal games - if I want to be lazy and not doing anything i will just watch some porn most of the times - that does not require any actions! Seems like you are "lazy" type that preffer to not do anyting and just watch something like porn movie instead trying to play anything :D

As far as reviewing this tech demo (as opposed to this guy's entire career), is there a reason moving between scenes opens this black and white picture of a guy grabbing a girl's ass? Why does loading every screen need an additional loading screen?

The first game had alot of potential. Should have just finished that game and then start something new. Also, idk who the heck you're talking to that prefers RPGM over Renpy.... that's just ludicrous.

Side note, I like your work and I think Renpy is a WAY better engine, especially for porn games. I honestly just want to see you succeed because I think your work has potential. I would just like to see it more focused.
