I prefer more frames with good writing over animation any day everyday.
Animations are overrated in my opinion, especially when most VNs are stills.

I think you are missing the whole point: by that, I mean the "Game" part.
It's all about you making decisions to change what happens.
So not a comic—some of which I like very much, BTW.
Not to mention that you are on a rant about there not being animations and then mention a (good) game that actually produces more and more of them, mostly of said Mrs. Parker.
Also, it's kind of funny that I'm telling you my game doesn't have animations, considering my signatures here...

Well, when I'm actually working on it, quite good...
Problem is I had very little free time over the last few months: not just my job, but also the summer vacation. I have to spend some time with my family.
But at least I'm back to rendering.
