jesus i just now found this, downloaded it for a quick wank, anddddddddd found myself skipping through the sex scenes to read more the the ACTUAL NOT PORN PLOT. good VN very very good VN.

One of the first VNs I ever played, always have a soft spot for it, despite the somewhat horrifying content.

I'd personally recommend starting with the original version. How could they have possibly fixed perfection?

I honestly can't tell, there seems to be so many different versions of this game, more than what is here. Some fanmades, some unofficial translations, some official, it's really hard to figure out what's what.
Isn't there only 3 versions the jp version with tlwiki english translation, the jp version PONScripter port with tlwiki english translation and the Jastusa official localisation.
The only real difference I'm aware of is between the Jastusa localisation and the JP tlwiki patch which is that the honorifics have been replaced with mr etc and there is less censoring of the CGs in the Jast version also Jast translation is less literal and imo reads slightly better.
The collection is just Saya no Uta with the tlwiki english patch, OST, saves, cg, etc.
Saya no Uta Original is the JP release with the TLWiki patch.
Saya no Uta Remade - The Song Of Saya is just the Jast version as I said above the only difference is less censoring and a slighlty modified translation.

I have a question. JAST usa has given a release date for a remake of this game in higher fidelity and running on a new engine. It doesn't have a new name, though. So.. does it belong in this thread or do we make a new one?

Steam has also an "edited for everyone" version on their store page, but i don't think it's necessary to link to that, right?
I guess.. since jast seems to be still having the 2013 version on their store as of now.. i link the steam version, just in case anyway.

It would belong on this thread imo. On the Jastusa site it's says that there will be a patch available to update the previous 2013 version to this upgraded release.I have a question. I saw that, yeah. But i wonder if they intent on selling the remaster by itself, of which there is nothing to be seen on their store as of a few hours ago.

Yes they are its available now or would be there seem to be issues with the site but anyway they will have a remasterd version to buy or for those who already own the old version they can just login and download the update.
