Somehow I don't understand how to go through this at all.

No, you cannot play the entire first game inside this game.
This game does have a kind of prologue that IIRC inside the game is (poorly) translated as "view the scenes of the 1st game" or smth.
Its her birthday, in case you still don't know look in the diary when she lose her virginity, when Strom and black out happen, look at the date that the password.

Yes but were you informed that this is a follow up to the base game scars of summer (without the after)?
This game just adds more content to the routes of the base game.
Since there is a good ending in the base game, it adds more content to that too, but yeah you do need to have cleared every other routes followup before getting that one ...
Needless to say it's almost pointless to play this game without playing the base game first ...
It's a bug and I guess it isn't fixed in the currently leaked release.
IIRC the scene should work properly in the recollection room, but you're not missing much, IMO.
Why is masaru such a dick to his childhood friend? Doesn’t seem like mc has done anything to him, I can see him gloating about it but he seems to just hate mc and not even want to tto him.
I know that muscle dude covers the whole “she gets with your friend instead while you watch from the sidelines” thing but muscle dude is lame and boring and it really feels like that story should have been with masaru and it would make it sting more with them having fun in your presence and it would make way more sense the way Ryoka acts in muscle dudes route if she wanted to keep the friend group together.
It would have made the ending pre impactful too. With masaru acting normal like he doesn’t know what he’s doing but the activities ramp up, rubbing it more and more in his face, making sure to bring mc along to dates and THEN the big fuckinr in front of him at the end. Oh well.

Saki is AMAZING. She’s honestly the real star of this game. She’s literally perfect and all of her stories and scenes are way superior to Ryoka’s.
I passed her up in the first game because honestly getting her stuff seemed like a pain in the ass and I thought all she would do was get fucked my homeless people and dudes in the village. I don’t know if she’s this awesome in the first game, I just know I want a game where Main character gets with her instead.

So genuine question, how is this different from the other game, Scars of Summer i mean? Is it extra content for the 1st game cause the scenes look like they add on from the 1st game just minus the ending.
Edit: Nevermind, reading through the past posts and playing some more it a semi sequel or rather continuation of the 1st game just minus the epilogue. Real question though, how to i increase Saki's affection and where do i get gifts?
