Are you sure it is not loading?got to main menu, hit new game and it just sits there doing nothing
ok it started working after deleting and unzipping againAre you sure it is not loading?
Unity hangs when loading stuff if you do not make a loading screen... Most people do not as VNs tend to be just a bunch of draw calls and it should be reasonably quick.
Oh i can run unity just fine, unity is just bad engine, with weird bugs unfixed by it's devs and often made worse by not always competent game devs. Like famous "card boiling" bug; does not matter what card you have it will work at 100% load from the moment you click exe to the moment you close the game... something that does not happen in any normal game and only syntetic stress tests do so.tbh, in today's age. The requirement for Unity is not really a huge threshold. If you can't run Unity its a idea to think about upgrade.
Yeah, that does not happen.Oh i can run unity just fine, unity is just bad engine, with weird bugs unfixed by it's devs and often made worse by not always competent game devs. Like famous "card boiling" bug; does not matter what card you have it will work at 100% load from the moment you click exe to the moment you close the game... something that does not happen in any normal game and only syntetic stress tests do so.
There are plenty of well made game using unity and working fine... and just as many broken.
Most of these "work-in-progress" games seem to trend that way. Quantity over quality. Personally, I prefer developing relationships with the same girl over finding new partners, but I suspect I am in the minority. From what I've seen, the majority of ero games can best be described as "hit it and quit it." Once you've sexed a girl, it's like the story is over. That's too bad, as there is so much more opportunity for story after that. It's not that difficult to come up with 50 different sex scenes for one girl, and it takes less work than one scene for 50 different girls. It could be related to dev experience, though. It is possible the writers of these games are unable to present long-lasting relationships because they have never been in one.I used to like this game during the beginning... Now it bores me... It showed great promise... A shame it went with the "collect as much girls as you like" type of game with zero stakes or challenges.. Just grinding....There is no feeling or weight to anything as every girl in the school can become "sex friend".
I suspect that is done on purpose as they do not aim to be "Romance games", in fact, Western Games seem to rarely focus on romance whereas Japanese games (at least AAA ones) do.Most of these "work-in-progress" games seem to trend that way. It never was drivers issue, it was issue of devs not implementing vsync in their games and shitty 2d games running at 20k FPS and boiling people graphic cards. Battletech was kinda famous for it when it launched (since it was one of bigger games with this issue). If you've implemented vsync then great.Yeah, that does not happen.
Where did you find such tests? Granted that I did google first and found problems related to that but fixed with the user updating their drivers.
True, but that also applies to other game engines like cry engine, frostbyte, havok, and a lot more. If the devs/coder is bad at what they are doing. So you end up with raw computer power have to compensate for terrible optimization and shoody coding.Oh i can run unity just fine, unity is just bad engine, with weird bugs unfixed by it's devs and often made worse by not always competent game devs. Like famous "card boiling" bug; does not matter what card you have it will work at 100% load from the moment you click exe to the moment you close the game... something that does not happen in any normal game and only syntetic stress tests do so.

Yeah that is a big issue. Sometimes you can override it with nvidia control panel (if you got nvidia gfx). But not always. It never was drivers issue, it was issue of devs not implementing vsync in their games and shitty 2d games running at 20k FPS and boiling people graphic cards. True But no big AAA game ever run my gpu so hot that some small unity games did. heck, I played flash games that almost shocked my computer.
Different game engines offer different options. If the creator want to use unity because it offer options he can't make happen in renpy, it make sense to use Unity. As the consumer/audience, we can't really cling to what require the least computer power and demand of creators to deliver on that.
The Japanese culture is much different though. In western culture it seems like porn more and more moved towards fastest way to the money shot, rather than the journey to get there. Imho a good believable romance story is harder to write/do as well.I suspect that is done on purpose as they do not aim to be "Romance games", in fact, Western Games seem to rarely focus on romance whereas Japanese games (at least AAA ones) do.
My guess is that since romance requires character development and therefore a lot of time spent on that, most people would quit on it since the demand is quick hentai.
it was never renpy, it was game maker studio or something like thatWait did developer changed from renpy to unity? That's some weird decision to make.
*Let's suddenly raise game requirements tenfold for no reason*
