This developer doesn't get it. Nobody wants MLF and he is killing SLF so that nobody wants this anymore either. Because he also fell asleep there with updates. he probably believes that money grows on trees

The developer gets it. The developer had a little lack of inspiration with SLF, that's why he wanted to release one version of MLF. The developer changed his real job few months ago and leaks time to work on his game. The developer has a little girl who doesn't sleep at night and make him very tired.
Oh... And the developer don't earn any money when he doesn't release a new version, so I think he knows that money doesn't grow on tree.

I've (we've) already invested a lot of time in this one too. I (we) have even accepted a step back. So why yank the blanket out from under us for a lesser game? You [dev] could've developed that game on the side and then had it ready for when you had finished this one. Maybe even had a side story where they say their goodbyes and make future plans as they move on.

I think it's too easy to start developing one game, and then decide in the middle of the story to start another one and leave the players stuck with the first one. It's a bit like a filmmaker shooting a film halfway through and suddenly deciding to shoot another film and leave the first one on the side. So, as far as I'm concerned, there's no way I'm ever going to look at the new game until this one's finished.
