I tried to start a new game, and it shuts down after choiced not see the introduction, or freezes in the island image if choosed yes. I patched the game with the file provided by @redknight00 , could that be the cause?

There was where I found the mod. Asked here first because wasn't sure the mod was really the problem, but now after your own experience, seems so.

I have tested the game without the mod and i can skip the introduction. The mod is really the bug.

I believe they're temporarily disabled forum-wide, admin tinkering with the plug-in or something.
