The current plan is to have 3 karma based endings with a bunch of different variations, some bigger, some smaller. Things like which LI you choose towards the end (if not going for the harem), karma, choices, etc. will all affect the ending you get.
That seems good so far, I hope it doesn't get too complex in the future so you can fully develop every 'main' ending and make it worth the while. Some questions:
First, regarding karma. I know from what you said that it'll influence the major ending, but would it also lock you out of certain LIs? Or are these independent of that system? I for one can say that, while I understand the MC's behaviour influencing the people who care about him (it makes the most sense), it'd also be a bit of a headache and a 'disappointment' to miss a LI because I've decided to be mostly 'good' up until a certain point.
Secondly, regarding the harem. I'm assuming that you can choose the LIs you get involved with; if you want a full harem, semi-harem, individual relationship, etc. That's very cool, but I'm wondering how everything will unfold if, for instance, I decide to go for a full harem (again, if allowed by the karma system mentioned previously). Would getting involved with certain LIs at the same time force them to interact intimately/romantically/sexually with each other? Or would you be able to control/choose when those situations happen, or if they do at all?
I don't know if it's too soon to ask, but it's just to get a grasp and a general idea of how you at least view the story and how you as the dev would like for it to unfold. Not based on what some people might ask for or their preferences, but how you'd like for this to work. For example, I for one would like the case I mentioned about the harem and the LIs involvement to be optional, as I'm usually not comfortable when it happens and (as of now) I prefer to avoid it altogether, but I don't want my opinion (or any other) to influence or condition your vision of your game. I'd just like to make sure of what to expect before going any further.
Good luck, great work, and thanks in advance!
