Tomorrow is the end of the month, if there is no update tomorrow, it will be released in early September and this will be the first time a delayed update. It usually comes out on the 29th every two months. We are waiting)
Even if 0.26 releases today, it's better to wait a few days in case of a bugfix release.

They never prevented you from updating, they are so small)))
"Small"... You download the whole game again, and then have to extract it from its state as a compressed archive.
Currently, the game is 15.4 GB in size. That's not small.
Second, any game-breaking bugs that might be in a first release of each version should be fixed in the bugfix release.
So you save yourself the time of playing a borked release, then going on here and typing a bunch of pointless stuff about weird behaviour of the game/black screen issue etc, because nobody here can do anything about it and KST doesn't frequent these forums to see the issues people here are posting about.

What's new in the 0.25 Update:
Location update: Michelle's house interior
Michelle's house now has fully functional interior with bathroom, bedroom and so on.
New features:
New app appeared on the phone. It will show the full list of Mysterious coins, the ones that are found already will have a description what it unlocked.
Now when you enter the location which has Mysterious coins, the small notification will appear stating how many of coins has been found. If location doesn't have any coins or all the coins are already found, notification won't appear.
SexBot
Introduction of the first sexbot. It's an advanced sex robot, later in the game it will be possible to customize them and use it for it's purpose
