So the new version just freezes (black screen) after i talk to Emily to go and try out the new dress in the Sexshop.

Also, I've noticed that in this version the bug with "current npc locations" is far more pronounced.

You missed the burglar event with Brenda!
Watching the news with Brenda - buying black mask at the endless lust store - entering the pool at 22:00 o'clock and pretend to be the burglar
I can't even enter the lust store... it says that it's not open yet

Man I really enjoy this game, but it desperately needs some optimization. It literally killed my 2080 Ti last week while playing. Heard a *POP* while the fans were going full bore (as they always did while playing this), got a burning smell, and all video output ceased. Granted, it's had its fans replaced a couple of times so there definitely could have been another factor at play, but no other AAA game pushed it like this game did.

Anyone know how to cap the framerate or something that might help limit it from going 100% when I get a new video card?

C'mon man let's not exagerate...:) i'm pretty sure this game is not your problem i only run this game on a gtx6050 and runs very well... very important is to run this game on a ssd not a hdd, i saw a major improvement in performance on my pc...

To clarify, it ran perfectly fine (and yes it's on an SSD). It was smooth and the framerate was good... but the video card obviously thought it needed to run the fans at full speed which was really loud and annoying. It was rare for my card to get that stressed, and it only happened when playing AAA games.

It runs fine on the 1070 I replaced it with from an old computer for the time being, but even that sometimes will randomly launch the fans to full speed for a few seconds which is weird.

You are right though... I shouldn't blame this game specifically for blowing up my video card. Like I said there were probably other factors and maybe it was on its way out. I'm sure it would have died playing something else eventually, but it was certainly going hard when it died. This game always seemed to piss it off from the start. Just saying there's nothing in this game that really warrants pushing a video card that hard. I'd expect it to play quietly with low temps especially on a 2080 Ti.

Let me get this straight, your video card needed multiple fan replacements, yet it was the game's fault it died? When you give your friend a wooden chair that has multiple cracked legs and he sits on it breaking it, do you blame your friend? or the chair?

Since you asked, You can limit the FPS in the Nvidia control panel or set the vsync.

But all cards can run at 100% just fine that isn't anything to be worried about, it's the temps you need to be concerned with. And even then cards will throttle down when they hit certain temperatures. I would be more concerned about my pc cooling and temps than an unoptimized game. Tho it sounds like your card was just faulty from the start and finally died.

the game has no fps limit. use your amd or nvidia software to set a limit for the game. 60fps is plenty. that should keep it running cool.

breq belongs to Brenda's quest!
If you got a quest with another person than Brenda, than you need to find the required variable to add a value.
For Isabelle it's canq
